| This is my first post and I have a question. I have been stalled for over a week and thought maybe it was the jello cheesecake I was eating (its just jello/hot water/creamcheese). What is your opinion on this? Should I go back to induction. I do not eat any white foods at all or sugar so I cannot figure this out. I have been doing low carb since Sept 11 and only lost 6 pounds and then regained it. :( Thanks. |

| Welcome, principessa. Which low carb program are you following?

| Maggie's question's a good one. I would also ask whether you were eating sugar-free jello

| So the answer is No. It's not bad, but... I wouldn't do it during induction, nor would I do it often. Use it as an occasional treat rather than a dietary staple and it will serve you well. More than that, we'd need to know details like how old you are, how much you weigh, how much you're trying to lose etc. A week's stall isn't really a stall btw, but I've found that upping my water intake helps me when I've slowed a bit...

| Thanks for the info. I didn't really do induction as I was doing the body cleanse diet first and was not consuming any flour or sugar on it. I guess maybe I should go and do Induction as it is written in DANDR and see if that kicks starts my weight loss again. Sorry about not posting my details as I didn't know how to do it. I am 36 years old and 6' tall and weigh 215. I was down to 210 2 weeks ago but then I gained 5 pounds again and am stuck.

| Wow, You're the same age and height that I am. (And weight too - practically!) I doubt that you need to do induction if you've gone through a sugar detox on another plan. Basicly, you just need to stay away from sugars and starches. Avoid pre-prepped food and eat "healthy." And drink lots of water

| Thanks for the support. I have upped my water intake to over 100 oz a day and the scale is slowly showing a loss. I do not eat processed frankenfood because I would rather give my body real food. For some reason I don't like the taste of the Atkin bars or other substitutes as they have a funny after taste.

Congrats on upping your water. Some other miscellaneous tips: Also doing some physical activity/exercise will be very helpful, even if it is just walking for 30-60 minutes a day. Doing this will greatly accelerate your loss. Also don't forget your multivitamins.

| Thanks Paladin. I am taking a mutli-vitamin that has chromium and something other things that are suppose to help weight loss. It is a new vitamin that is out on the maket (to me anyway). I am also doing a learning to run program three times a week, and just went to the gym to get a new weight training program going. I also realized by going to the gym and having my measurements and weight tracked that my stupid new scale at home was 6 pounds out. So I am actually 209 instead of 215 which I thought. Darn scale went back. I also lost inches all over my body. So it was my mind that was stalled not my weight loss. Thanks to you all that posted suggested which I will gladly incorporate in my new wol.

| There are many, many variations on it. There are some on this website as well but here is mine: 1 pkg. sugar-free Jello (any flavor) 4 oz. cream cheese 2 cups water Microwave 1 cup water for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes. Pour into 1 quart container. Dissolve jello in water. Soften cream cheese in microwave for 20 seconds. Mix well into dissolved jello either by hand or with mixer. Add 1 cup cold water and refrigerate till set up. (Can be divided into small containers for easy snacking!) Makes 4 servings at 1 carb each.

| I tried your Jello reciepe and OMG it is so good., I reminds me of something bad and carby my grandma used to make a christmas with Lime Jello, Cream cheese, Ice cream, Pinapple and Cherries. This is by far much less carbs and I can still enjoy the taste...Thanks for sharing !! your a savior :great:
