| I'm checking out this recommended FitDay program and comparing the package carbs with Fitday numbers. For example-I have a double package of Italian hard salami, thin sliced, from BJs which claims 0 carbs and 0 sugar. So , I figure it should come out as 0-1 carbs, since it's miniscule, right? I get 3 carbs from Fitday. I always thought eggs were like practically a free food if you could stand to eat them throughout the day--4 carbs for scrambling 3 eggs with water? If it isn't safe to go by the package claims for 0 carbs, maybe a lot of us are eating more carbs than we are aware of and not going into ketosis or stalling. Or FitDay is overestimating the carbs. What do you think? A quick unrelated question: how many calories should one start out on for induction if you weigh 200ish? I am showing 1967 due to that salami I ate... |

| I don't know from calories, so I'll leave that part for someone else. As to the eggs, yes, they have some carbs, but I only get 2 gms of carbs on fitday for three large eggs. Not sure why you're getting 4. As for packaging versus fitday, well, manufacturers can round down (or up, if it suits them) to whole numbers. On the other hand, fitday is using USDA numbers which are often an average of many samples. HTH
