Default Hello I am a newbie

Good morning, My name is Beth, I just got back from the doc today and have high sugar levels he wants me on a low carb diet for now. I was search on the net and found you guys and after looking thru here I found that I might just fit in and get some great info on here.

I am a vegan so yes this is going to be hard, But I do need help.

First question?
What are some leafy veggies- I can not think of any for the life of me

Welcome, Beth. You have come to the right place!

Green leafy veggies - lettuces, spinach, any greens like collards, turnip, kale. I prefer romaine lettuce to iceburg, and the salad mixes can have a great collection of different leafy veggies.

There is a vegetarian forum here, and I hope you have discovered it. They have lots of good info for low carbing vegetarians. It will be a challenge, but there are some good people here who will give you all the help you need.

Broccoli is great! Low carb, delicious either cooked or raw with a dip.....and cauliflower, too.

Welcome, Beth.

Can't improve on the advice above, but wanted to say "hi".
