sorry-as i read this i see that you've already discussed your decision to eat little to no carbs, as well as mentioned you don't have access to the book. didn't mean to repeat with the other post i answered of yours recently. i do hope you choose to reconsider.

of course, you can refer to the atkins website. i encourage you to do this since it's your best chance for significant, long-term success.

Nitro-I'm so glad to hear you've got the book! That's increases your chances for long-term success at least tenfold. There's a pretty big difference between what most people think low-carb is, and what it really is when you follow a plan like Atkins.

Keep us posted on your progress!

I think I've fixed it, Nitro. I'm guessing that you don't have a static IP at home and we've had several spammers lately with IP's that are only one or two numbers off from yours in the final digit. I've unblocked those IP's (leaving the users banned). If this doesn't solve your problem, please let me know and I'll look into it further.

Nitro -

Welcome to our low-carb community. You appear to have joined while I was on baby/in-law duty

The reason why I eat carbs is because my diet can be so much more varied if I add that little bit of carbs into it. Other than the ultra carby ones (corn, potatoes etc.) I tend to allow my self as many vegetables as I want to consume (no food scale for me). As you've probably noticed, just chicken and eggs gets rather boring. My whole goal is to lose weigh using a style I can continue and maintain the weight I've lost rather than bounce back and forth on some kind of weight yo-yo.

Low carb lets me lose the weight with a varied diet without starving myself. If I'm hungry, I eat - and I eat well.

Hello and thanks for welcoming me!
I have started eating brocolli nowdays , just so i dont get sick of eating just eggs and chicken and fish and lamb and beef and more fish and more beef steak and turkey . hehehe.. so much meat! And oh the egg white omelette with chedder cheese , wooopie..
Adding vegies to my diet has made me ... go to the toilet more often , i guess thats the fibre kicking in , so im not constipated any more.. its really good!
The book has helped me a lot ,
Today i went to pizza hut , with my friends , and i didnt even touch 1 slice! i just ordered a grilled chicken (with salt and pepper) , we get grilled chicken in pizza hut , in Dubai , where i live.. I dont crave carbs ., and i eat a small amount and i get full fast..

My new year resolution is to get to my desired weight , and try to be in induction for as long as i can!! I got lots of weight to lose!!

PS: thanks maggie for unbanning my ip , hehe

Hi Nitro,

You can eat those eggs whole. In fact Dr. Atkins recommends it. There are some nutrients in egg yokes that you get nowhere else. That is one of the best things about eating low carb foods. It's a very nutrient dense diet. But you still should take supplements too. Here is a good blog post I just read today about it.

good luck in your weight loss efforts,
Ed

Hi Ed , thanks for the advise , i will start adding yolk to my diet from today..

Oh and the vitamins and nutrients , and supplements , i own a Nutrition Store , i whole sale to all the retailers here , i got ALL the vitamins and everything in my store , i will try having some Multi vitamins , so i dont feel weak . Today i learned a new lamb dish , you take minced lamb , and green chillis and little onion , and mix it up in the mixer , and then make small patties out of em , .. and then grill em on the oven!! Its yummi , i eat it with mayo , or sometimes green chilli paste..

by the way , ur link is not opening , can you post it here?
