| Hi everyone. Firstly I have been doing low carb for a couple of years and found it easy to do and stick with, until I went on holiday just before christmas. As I found it hard to always get something low carb I ended up having the odd thing that I probably shouldn't have and since then it has become easy to have a biscuit now and again or some fish and chips or ice cream none of them low carb. I have since gained around 5kg or 10lb roughly, my clothes are now very snug.I wasn't drinking a lot of water either.. I have been back on induction now for 3 days. It is going well.Lots of water Yum Yum and only what I should be eating. My questions are Should I continue with induction for 14 days? (people seem to say it is harder to lose the second time, though I never went off plan just ate a few too many no no's as well as what I should have had) Or will 5 be enough to kick start my weight loss and stop any cravings I might have? Though I believe I will be good that way as I am determined not to eat anything off plan again, as I saw how quick it goes back on. I am also upping my exercise as I have purchased a home gym and a ball.. Any advice would be appreciated Thank you very much Kauritree |

| You probably won't have to do a full 2 weeks of induction. You need to be on it long enough to get back into fat-burning mode, but since you only gained 10 lbs, you might be able to get back to ongoing weight loss after a few days. Try it and see if you continue losing as you add carbs. If you don't, then you'll know that you need a longer time on induction. You've taken the right steps, to get back to where you were before, so hang in there! And upping the exercise will only be of benefit to you, too. WTG! |

| Thanks Nita. Will see how I go and will stay on induction till weekend at least and see how it looks and maybe up my carbs a bit then I do have trouble with counting the carbs though. But it all worked ok last time without really counting. Just guestimating. I had better go and get on the gym now before today is gone. Haven't got out there yet. Thanks again |

| Actually, if you find that you are still having the "mental cravings" for those foods, I would definitely do the full 2 weeks induction. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to change our psyche than it does to change our physical demands. The sugar-craving monster may disappear after 5 days, but your habits often take a bit longer to change! If you have even the slightest temptation to rationalize those off-limits foods, I would go ahead and do the 2 weeks. After all, it can't hurt and may just help! Good luck,
