Hi everyone

Hows it going for you lately? post your thoughts on how you are feeling, what you are doing, Just Post.

I'm on day 4 and I feel good. Woke up earlier than normal and did not feel tired. Have lots of engery. All though the nite was tough because I wanted to get up and eat something. Wasn't hungry just a habit.

My ketostixs read purple (moderate) which keep me going knowing that I'm losing something. Each day seems to be getting eaiser but if I want to have bad carbs hope someone here with help me. Just posting helps me stay moviated. Hoping to hear from ya's . Are ya out there?

Hi, Cherinfo. You're right. Posting DOES help us feel motivated, and that counts just as much for Year Four (me) as for Day Four (you). Keep doing that!

The beginning really is a challenge. Old habits and attitudes die hard. Still, Atkins works better than anything else I ever tried to substitute a whole new way of living (and eating) that is equal in enjoyment to what I had to leave behind. I appreciate the enthusiasm of Dr. Atkins in his books, and continually refer to his writing when I need a boost.

When you feel like having "bad carbs," remember that you are free to choose. So choose what you LOVE from the allowed list, and go for it.

Best wishes!

howdy cher. i find that spending time around here is very helpful for me as well. besides, the folks are so nice!

when i'm having trouble staying out of trouble, i do what barb suggests: look for something that sounds good from the list of things i feel good about eating. be sure to look through the recipes to find some ideas. you may have to make some of your own "treats" for lowcarbing, but you'll know what's in 'em and you won't feel like you've lost a fight with a sumo the next day, either.

keep us posted on your progress!
