| Hi everyone. I am hoping to get some advice. My Fiance and I are going out to dinner this tues night and I really really want to stick to my WOE. He's meeting up with a bunch of his college buddies whom he's not seen in years and of course it will be my first time meeting them all. We will be going to Fridays. Around where I live we dont have places like that so I'm not really sure what to order!! Any advice from any of you would be greatly appreciated!!! Linda |

| Linda, you can go to Friday's website and access their menu. They do offer two low carb dinners. If those aren't to your liking stick with your normal LC fare such as a nice cut of steak or seafood with broccoli and salad. You have to watch Friday's as they don't post the nutritional info about their meals. Have a fun evening. |

| Here's a link to the part of their menu which highlights the two particular low carb meals Kumus referenced: http://www.tgifridays.com/menu/menu_lowfat.htm (toward the bottom of the page.) HTH.

| Thanks so much for the link and the tips Kumas and Maggie. Those both look pretty darn good however a bit more carbs than I'd like to eat at one sitting. So I think I will probably take your advice and take the steak with some salad. I've been sooo faithful to this WOE that I really dont want to mess up!! I normally enjoy wine when I go out to dinner but I will just stick to my water with lemon this time! Thanks again for the input. And I'm sure it will be a fun time. My fiance is really looking forward to it! Thanks again, Linda |

| I sure miss my wine too and worried about being in a social situation for the first time. I think the best "excuse" would be to volunteer to be the Designated Driver, then you will be a hero instead of a party pooper! Enjoy yourself regardless!

| do be aware, ladies, that whenever you do decide to have a bit of wine again, it impacts you MUCH more strongly than it does when you are not low-carbing. it can really take a person by surprise if they aren't expecting it. low-carbing drastically reduces alcohol tolerence. you'll become the orginal "cheap date." so just so you know: let's all be careful out there! |

| LOL Goddess that is what I've heard. It's been a month now since I started this WOE again. I've not touched a drop of alcohol. For now I've even stopped drinking diet soda. The only thing I can't give up is my coffee.. but I do make up for that by drinking at least a gal of water everyday!! I will reward myself with a glass of wine after I feel I've acomplished my first 'mini' goal. And that will be when I lose another 19lbs!! But, I'll remember to be very careful so as not to embarrass me or my future husband! LOL Thanks for the advice, have a wonderful day. Linda |
