| In general, it's not really necessary to supplement iron with this way of eating. Iron does accumulate but (in the absence of some other disorder) it's of more concern to men and post menopausal women. However, if you have an anemia problem (your doctor can check with a CBC) there may be reason to supplement. You can work with your health care professional to determine if you have need of supplements with iron.
