| It's generally best to count all carbs until you really learn the carb content of different foods. Yes, eggs have a small amount of carbohydrate, but at .6 per egg, it's hard to eat enough eggs to have a blow out, if you know what I mean. As for meat - there are no carbs in fresh, unprocessed meat. However, as soon as it's processed in any way the carb content will depend on what was added in the processing. HTH.

| Fresh chicken and canned tuna, whether in oil or water, are 0 carbs. Roast beef and pork chops, 0 carbs. Organ meats and some shellfish have tiny amounts of carbs. Fish has 0 carbs. |

| A small can of tuna should have no carbs in it. Make sure to read the labels and look at the total carbs the subtract any fiber from the toal carbs to get you actual carb count. Its a bit confusing at first but once you get the hang of it it is second nature. Almost Everything has some carbs in it like Maggie said execpt for plain old meats. In the back of the atkins book there is a carb counter, or you can look online I know that there is a recent post with a link to a great carb counter. Keeping a food journal on here or a simple notebook at home will help greatly to keep you on track. It all adds up even chewing a piece of SF gum has 1 or 2 in it and can sneek up on you. Good luck and keep us posted :o
