Unhappy Guilty of "Pigging Out"!

Had a bad day yesterday and really pigged out! There was no reason for me to do so, I just felt like it. Anyway perhaps if I admit it here and am accountable for it, I won't be as abt to slip again. I DID NOT go over my 20 carbs., so that's good, but I just ate and ate and ate some more! I counted every gram of carb. that I put in my mouth but had 3 times the amount of cheese and cream for the day, as well as enormous amounts of protein.
I made some whipped cream sweetened with S/F vanilla syrup to use for several days on my S/F Jello, and found myself eating the whole fricking bowl!! Anyone ever done that? Actually probably anyone that has ever had a weight problems knows the scenerio well! Anyway, I just wanted to admit it and today is a new day and I am going to TRY to eat like a normal person, not the glutton that I am!
Ahhhhhh.... feel much better now, thanks for listening!

Hi Cinderella,
Well you are human and we all slip up. At least yours was fairly harmless from what I can tell and you stayed under the 20g. We all slip up and when I do it is usually far worse than that...try everything in mass carbs!!!

I actually did the same thing this week with the whipping cream and the S/F syrup after I demolished the whole bowl I was feling pretty ill....lol. All we can do is try and be true to ourselves. If it makes you feel better to write your slip ups here, then write away!!! Thats the beauty of the boards and you have a great attitude towards getting back on track.

Best of luck and have a great day.:fork:

Same to you and thanks. I am checking out the "Everything Else" board today and joining in a couple of games to keep busy! I see you are a regular there, pretty fun, I've never done that before and I hope it's okay that I just barge in!

cindrella- just so you know, when you have a day with some questionable choices, it's not unusual to see the scale shoot up for a few days thereafter. it's not about permanent gains, but you will see fluxes.

any choices you make that don't support your long term goals, best bet is to simply let them go, take a chug of water, and keep moving forward. at most, examine what was going on for you to see if you can find triggers that may have made it more difficult to remained focused. but please don't bother with feeling guilty about it.

if you expect perfection from yourself, you'll fail 100% of the time. instead, keep in mind this is a life change, not a diet per se. you're changing your habits and in that context, you will have "big eating" days and not so big eating days. it's good that you continued to monitor your carb intake even with the mini-binge behavior. that helps you feel like you retained some control, i'm guessing.

so just move forward from here, and you'll be fine. just don't gripe to me about slow losses for a few days. ha!
