| Two years ago I came here (see: http://www.lowcarbeating.com/bb/showthread.php?t=12084 if it is really weighing on your mind) . I found the site very beneficial and informative. Although I only posted in a couple of threads, I found a tremendous amount of support from the members here, and by reading all the other threads. I had so much success, I kind of strayed from the support everyone here offered. In less than a year I lost nearly 130 lbs and was feeling great. I felt I had changed my lifestyle and was not on a diet. I was a different person. I WAS SURE OF IT! Well in October of '05 (after 10 months) I broke down and had cake and ice cream at a party. If i knew then what I know now, I would have never done it. Once I fell of the wagon , I thought I would go ahead and find all those foods I had been missing (Mac-N-Cheese, + Olive Garden Menu). After two weeks , I had pretty much cycled through that "phase", but decided that I would restart LCE/Atkins after Thanksgiving. I didn't. I would restart LCE/Atkins after Christmas, I didn't. Then, birthday, Valentines Day, Anniversary, Vegas Trip, Summer Vacation, etc. As Fast As I had taken off the weight, I had gained it. I was closing in on 300 lbs. After the begining of this year, I was convinced I would start again. I made a 10-12 week detour get through my tobacco addiction ( I wanted no more excuses for diet failure), but am now here to start over, from ground zero, rock bottom. I hope to find the same support I did initially. Otherwise, I just want to help other people know you can lose it, gain it back, and try all over again. STORM Edit: I suppose I should change my weight ticker! |

| Welcome home, Storm. You know, I think you would be surprised at how many folks find themselves in your exact situation(I sure did, more than once). The good thing is, you have now learned *from experience*. Personally, when I've *learned my lesson the hard way* (as my grandma used to say), I'm a WHOLE LOT more aware the second time around. You've taken the first step on the journey to get healthy again and lose weight. We're here with ya...and glad you are here with us Post often and let us know how you are doing, OK?

| hey storm. nice to see you back! you know, i know it's no fun, being where you are now, but i think you've also learned some very helpful lessons on the way. the two biggest things that jump out to me: 1. sometimes a little can hurt 2. if you eat off-plan, don't put off getting back on track until some "magic day" because it never comes. it just gives you more work to do when you refocus your efforts. please don't feel bad. use the experience to help you maintain your success this time around. and by sharing it here, you can also help the rest of us remember how easy it can be to get sidetracked- and how important it is to stay on-task. no experience is a waste if you use it right. we're delighted to have you back with us, and i'm looking forward to hearing about your progress again. peace out. |

| Welcome back! It took courage to share your story. Thank you. I am fairly new to this site and have never been one to join a forum or chat before. But the outpouring of support that I have received since joining has been tremendous! Just wished I had done it sooner instead of watching on the side lines! Best wishes to you, looking forward to getting to know you better and see you succeed! Have a great afternoon!
