Wow, I'm so glad my thread is so popular!

I've been a memeber of another weight-loss site and they were nowhere near as nice. The reason I came to this one is because someone was just a TOTAL ignorant fool on the other boards. And BOY am I glad I switched!

People actually pay attention to newbie posts here and don't just pay attention to their e-friends' posts and the regulars'.

ANYWAYYY....

So here's more of my menu from today

3 slices Deli Ham
5 oz lean porkchop
2 c iceburg lettuce
2 Tbsp caesar dressing

Going to the market tonight after the gym, so I'll be all stocked up

Hey, Genny.

Just a little hint here. As you probably know from your studies, iceburg lettuce is probably the least nutritious of the veggies allowed on induction. The darker the veggie, the more phytonutrients are contained in it. Even romaine has more "goodies" than iceburg. Think about adding things like raw spinach, raw or cooked broccoli, mixed baby greens, etc, to your veggie intake. Get more "bang for your buck."

Thanks for the tips, maggie!

I just buy the iceburg because it's cheap lol.

I just made the mock cheesecake (lemon sugar-free jello and cream cheese). It's in the fridge setting now so we'll see how it turns out. I'm so excited!

Went to the gym tonight and did 3 miles in half an hour, my best time yet!!

How is everyone doing and feeling lately?

<3 Gen

P.S. - I plan on getting a tape measure soon so I'll get some measurments up to track my progress.

Gen, why don't you start a journal? You'll get a lot more visitors, tons of encouragement, and have fun in the process.

I love romaine lettuce. I find that a bag of cut-up romaine will keep better in the fridge than the same amount of cut-up iceberg. So if you have problems with your iceberg going bad before you can use it all, then romaine might be cheaper in the long run.

I'm glad you like it here. I looked into a few other forums, and this one just seemed to be the most comfortable for me.

Default Measurement updates!

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I posted because I have family in from out of town and we have just been goin all over! I have recently taken some measurements so I thought maybe I would share them with everyone!!

Starting ----> 6/11/07
Waist- 32" 30"
Belly- 38" 35.5"
Hips- 41" 40"
Chest- 40" 38.5"

This is exciting for me, as it is the lowest weight I have been since high school (hehe not really saying much since I'm only 21, but you know!) I am still working slowly but surely down to my goal, and any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Hey Genny! How tall are you? Just wondering about your height and goal weight. I'm always assuming everyone is as tall as me. I'm 5'7" and would be too thin at 130. But I'm almost 37, too, so that's not going to happen!

BTW, I missed this thread when you first posted it, so I read all the way through it, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW!!!

Do start a journal as Nita suggested. It's a great way to keep your menus, measurements and goals in one place.

ps-I use iceberg a lot too, just because it is what I grew up eating. you can work the other kinds of lettuce in by mixing them with your iceberg.
