WOW Nita, that's amazing!! I've seen your posts about your recent successes but I didn't realize you had already lost almost 100 pounds!! AMAZING!

I'll get there!!!

And you're right about the outift...I could just kick myself for not buying the crop pants with the pretty flower embroidery on them!! I did recently buy a beautiful dress for my son's Marine swearing in ceremony (okay I was totally overdressed but I felt good!) It's white with blue flowers, no sleeves (a first for me) and a cinched waist with three bands of blue ribbon running around it. SO pretty...I felt like a million bucks! His graduation is the first week of September so I'll be looking for something else along those lines, since at this rate, it won't fit me in two months!! Oh I just love saying that!

THANKS AGAIN ALL!!

Jen

I lost three more! And that's only for the past 3 days. I didn't lose anything all week. I was starting to think maybe I had hit a stall because this would be the first week since I started that I didn't lose something! I have been researching Kimkins and decided to try just meat and eggs on Friday. I did very well and woke up Saturday to a one-pound loss. Yesterday I had a family picnic and I was worried about staying strong and resisting but I did great! It wasn't meat and eggs but the only bad thing I had was a bite of cheescake and and a bite of my sister's crab dip (the fake stuff). She guilted me into that...

I have to say this about family, that was the worst part. I had all three of my sisters there and on one hand they were like, wow, way to go, on the other hand they were voicing all those little things that go on in your own brain: "You've come so far, one bite won't kill you." "Just one day off won't hurt you." But I held fast and didn't eat everything I usually would have. This was what I had yesterday:

B: HB egg, 6 oz of turkey
L: 2 hamburgers, plain, no bun of course
1/4 cup of blueberries/strawberries/raspberries
D: Probably 2 cups of pork (it was a pig roast)
And the 2 bites of bad stuff mentioned above.
50+ oz of water

My first goal is to lose 104 pounds which would get me to 200, I'm half way there now at 251!!!!

And I did buy a "sexy" outfit yesterday! So motivating!!!

WOO HOO!

jen- glad to hear things are moving again for you. do be aware that pauses (which i prefer to the term stalls) are a natural part of any weight loss program, and while we usually don't welcome them enthusiastically, it's far from proof soemthing is wrong. it most definitely IS a process, not an event, man.

do also make sure you're taking some vitamins-especially important if you're closely restricting your food intake-and don't go too long without those veggies, ok? 'cause they are important.

peace out.

I have been taking the One-a-Day Weight Smart Advanced vitamin since day one.

I haven't been too keen on the just meat and eggs, I only did one day truly M/E. I really missed my veggies! I made a new spinach casserole that I got from the recipes here and 3 out of 4 of us liked it!

I'm thinking that since I'm doing so well, why mess with what's working!! I'll wait for a "true" stall and then maybe switch things up.

Thanks goddess!

good-glad to hear you're getting the vitamin in! that helps, and i know since i started taking vitamins, i hardley ever get sick anymore, which is great.

and isn't it cool how you find yourself missing those veggies? before i started low-carb, if someone had suggested i'd ever miss veggies when I didn't eat 'em would have found me laughing in his or her face!

sounds like you're doing just fine.
