Talking Ideas on starting again?

Here I am again,
I am just wondering if anyone out there that had any ideas on starting over again.

What did you do to prepare yourself?
Did you set any goals?
Pull out the skinny jeans and hang them in plain sight?

I know just by reading that I am like alot of people that stop and start. But, I also realize that this is the best program to suit my needs and hunger. I am an carb/sugar addict that is for sure and I know that "obstaining" is the only avenue for me.
And the way that I feel after I am on this woe is unspeakable ( in a good way that is )

So please pass on your stories, ideas and thoughts on getting started up that hill once again!

Thanks Everyone!

Hi Pq, Welcome Back, Ive Recently Returned As Well And The Last Time I Did This Was A Piece Of Cake. This Time Things Are A Lil Slow. I Just Want To Say Whatever Happens Try To Stick With It And Try Not To Get On That Silly Scale Too Often ( Wish I Could Follow This Advice). But For Me Ive Refused To Buy Myself Anymore Clothes In My Current Size Or Higher. I Will Only Get Something New When I Drop A Size And I Love To Shop For Clothes So I Really Have To Get On The Ball.
Right Now Im Size 18/20 Depending On The Cut Of The Clothes And The Quality. Im Not Buying Anything Else Until I Get To Size 16 Again. And Omg, I Dont Even Want To Think About Size 14, I Might Lose My Mind In The Stores, Because I Have Nothing In My Closet Thats A 14, Anyway Thats My Lil Incentive To Myself.

Good Luck, And Again Welcome Back.

Cool Re: Ideas on starting again?

Thanks for the reply! I am about a 18 right now myself and well I have to admit that I have a mirage of clothing my closet and storage. 12's,14's,16's and agonizing 18's!
I want so badly to get back to one chin and and well a size 12. I am not asking for alot. That is about a 60 pound weight loss.
The time is now!
Thanks again,

Hey PQ...I also have started this way of eating again....first time around I dropped well below goal...this time I have to admit is just a little bit harder. But I can really say this is a life changing way now...I know it works..i'm proof. But the Key is to make it a way of eating the rest of your life...Period!
I wish you much success. It will happen!

PQ, it's good to see your smiling face back here!

First thing I did when I was gearing up to get back to low carb was to get out my copy of DANDR and read it. I took mental notes, made lists of food to buy, made sure I didn't have anything in the house to tempt me, and roped my dh into joining me, and he's been with the plan ever since (well, except when we eat out, he'll have fried fish & shrimp and a potato, but we don't eat out that often).

It doesn't hurt to look at a fat picture of yourself once in awhile, either. I look, shudder, and for some reason have no desire to cheat anymore. Wonder why....................LOL!

Thumbs up Re: Ideas on starting again?

Thanks lkvercher!!

HI Nita!!

Thanks for the warm welcome back . It is nice to be back. Actually looking at pictures as the one that here as my picture. Is motivation alone! When I am thinner, I am at my best, less alergies, more energy and less aches and pains and boy do I look good. A little vain I know, but if it works to loose it again, I will take my chances on being a little vain.

I am going to pick up doc's low carb bible and thumb threw again! Thanks again everyone!!!

Hi PQ!

I just had to stop in and tell you we have practically the same goal - I'm at size 18 right now and am shooting for an 8... that's about 60 pounds for me, too.

How about joining (or starting) a challenge? Having that in the back of my mind is quite helpful at times.

Good luck to you!

Hi PQ. I've also just re-started, after spending almost a year off plan.
I have a few things I'm doing this time to keep myself on track. First of all, I am not setting a weight loss goal for myself, just doing it to feel better and lose as much as I can. I don't have a scale and don't really care about how much I lose, just that I do lose.

I have also decided to try at least two new recipes a week, to keep the food varied and interesting. I don't want to get bored with what I'm eating because I know that makes me lose momentum.

Good luck to all of us!
