Goddess, I just feel it's better to keep it on the DL for right now. So many people are very anti LC - I figure why open myself up for all that verbal hassle! Granted, I CAN tell them it was recommended by my doctor, but again, that's what my dh would say is a 'nano' - nanoyousbusiness!
(ah, he cracks me up!) I'm just really greatful to have found this site, the support is wonderful, everyone is SOOOO friendly (the WW chat board is heavy on the snark) and I really am amazed at how different I feel today from the same time last week. WW is a good program, and yes LC'ing can be worked into it beautifully (well, work isn't the right term, this really is a much easier eating style!)

I do feel like I've a sneaky secret up my sleeve - gads, if they knew I was eating *gasp* REAL bacon!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I'd probably do the same if I found the meetings helpful. You might have some trouble explaining your new rate of loss, though.... Normally, it will slow down after the first couple of weeks, though, so it might be easier to remain LC-incognito after that!

Never done WW myself (must be the only one I didn't try!), but I have a GF who likes it. 'Course when go out for coffee, I'm merrily adding whole milk and whipped cream to the top, while she's adding skim to hers and talking about her points. But I'm happy she's satisfied with her plan, and she's happy I'm satisified with mine. So it's all good. And when she's in the swing, she's a total exercise diva, so she does alright.

i'm so grateful for the tone of this community for sure. Andrea, the founder of the site, and the mod team deserve a lot of credit for that. they've done a lot over the years to make sure this is a welcoming place where people can get support and good info...the friendliness of the folks here is why i initially joined myself. who needs the snark factor? blech. i want encouragement. not smart alecks. har!

That's pretty much how I felt when I started LC too. What? I can eat that? I can eat when I'm hungry? Hmmmm....well, okay. Maybe I can lighten up on the bread when you put it that way...
Well, enjoy your secret decadence.

Congratulations!!! That's awesome progress! If they really dig for an answer to "what you've been doing" which is common, just tell them you're doing Core. Ha! Isn't that sort of WWs version a LC program?

Glad you're here, make yourself at home.

Kummus - YES, Core is close enough to LC that I can say I'm doing that - I got lucky in finding a fun group and inspiring leader (you really have to shop around for one) All in all I am REALLY happy with the combining of the two (though granted my WW journal now is counting carbs, not points!)

babybluejay - thank you - your's made me LOL!

Well, it's week 2 and the adventure (and bacon love) continue!!!
