| I use Fitday to keep track of what I am eating. Should I be deducting the total fibre from the total carbs to get the right figure for my daily carb intake ?

| Kizzy, Since fitday doesn't give you *net* carbs, YES....subtract your fiber from your total carb count for the day to get your NET carb count. Keep on keepin' on! s

| kizzy-it's really an individual thing. the old versions of atkins (a la 72) didn't subtract carbs from fiber, whereas later versions did, since they don't impact you the same way. (and while lots of packaging subtracts all sugar alcohols out of carb count, many people only subtract half or not at all, because your milage can vary a lot with those, too.) some people have trouble losing at very low carb counts, and some folks have to keep their counts pretty restricted to lose (although usually not that low). so if you up it to twenty, probably the biggest thing you'll notice that's different is that you have more variety in your menu. |

| Are you still doing induction? According to the book during induction only 15 grams comes from veggies the rest comes from cheese, eggs and cream. Coffee even has some minute carbs. Be sure you are counting those. Fruit, as in sweet fruit, is not allowed until you reach the Berry rung. After the first 2 weeks of induction you can then add more veggies from the salad list and the other veggies list.
