This morning while I was getting ready for work, they had a story on about diets (I hate that word but it got my attention) There was a two year study - I didn't get all the details. I heard the results. The three diets were Mediterranian (sp?), Low Fat and an Aktins-like LC. The one that lower bad cholesterol, raised good cholesterol and had the largest weight loss maintained was.....Low Carb! They were quick to move on to the Mediterranian diet and stating how good that was for diabetics...yadayadayada!

It was good to have reinforcement for the choices I have made.

i just approved a blog feed on this study...it's interesting, in that the same study was reported a myriad of ways, depending on who reported it.

i like when the research vindicated LC, too. but the biggest vindication for me is my own experience.

There's a bunch of people that haven't gotten the word. I still get raised eyebrows and someone the other day told me i was going to die a premature death. A store employee the other day said she couldn't understand why anybody would do that to themselves. So we have a long ways to go. Judy
