Default What the...how the...????

So I was informed that the first 3 days would be the worst. (South beach book) They were fine I was really excited....now 10 pounds later and lighter, and finishing up day number 11...I have been having carb cravings like no other. Can someone explain?

Thanks

Eh. Some days are sometimes like that. Sometimes, it seems like one thing or another I eat will bring it on, sometimes I might have a stressful day especially, sometimes I don't know why. But for me, the longer I do this, the more predictable it is overall. Over time, I've identified many of my own craving triggers.

If it hangs around, I would look to see what you're eating, if there are perhaps outside stressors, and/or make sure I was taking my supplements. (For me, I am less likely to have craving issues if I take good care of myself overall, get supps and sleep).

Maybe others will have other ideas, but I tell ya, C, unless it's something that continues to plague you over time, anything like that where you get a single rough day or two, I would consider a fluke and not overly concern myself with it. Just watch and listen to your bod, man, and see if it continues and/or you can track it down. People's responses to any change in nutrtion and/or life circumstances are highly individual. I'd even compare it to people's reaction to medications. It's totally a learn-as you-go process.

We humans have a pretty hard time with change. A lifetime of habits doesn't simply evaporate because one has decided on a different course. It's pretty inevitable that, from time to time, one's inner child will go into kicking & screaming mode wondering why he/she can't have or do whatever. The good news is that, over time, this really becomes very rare and transient.

As Goddess says, take a look at various foods or situational things that might be triggers for you. Knowledge is power.
