To much too fast ??

Talking To much too fast ??

I'm just checking, perhaps getting input from those who know... I have dropped 10 lbs. in a week... is this ok or is it too fast? Can you loose weight too fast ? I''m getting all of my nutrients and vitamins and such and I feel fine. Just wondering if i should try to slow it down a bit, or will it even off after a while ? Not that I am upset at loosing 10lbs...

hi Melissa,
Congrats on a great 1st week loss! While 10 lbs in a week is on the *high end*, I would hesitate to say you are loosing to fast. A large amount of the initial weight loss with Atkins is water or fluild loss; which is a good thing, BTW.
You may see NO loss over the next week, or only a pound or two.
And yes, your rate of loss will slow as you near your goal.
Another widely known fact...the more weight a person has to lose, the faster the initial(say 20-30 lbs) pounds come off.

So, as long as you feel good and are getting enough food (as in...NEVER go below 20g carb/day) I'd say enjoy the journey!!

can't add to what shell just told you, 'cause she's so right! congrats on your flying start. enjoy it and don't complain (too loud) when it does slow down.

Cool .. .I was just checking, it didseem like a lot to me ... HOWEVER I'm happy with it. As far as slowing down... I'm ok with that too... i would rather go slow and steady than not at all.

I lost fast in the beginning also. Twelve pounds my first week which was unheard of in my whole life of diets! Now I have settled down to a slow steady loss which I am more comfortable with. But I never felt bad or sick from losing fast those first couple of weeks. Matter of fact it made me feel fantastic! Mentally as well as physically.
