oh Sandi, I am so sorry, I had no idea. My thoughts are with you. My hubby's birthday is at the end of the month, he will be 57. I think often what I would do without him and how I could survive without him and totally put myself in that place and it is not good. I know I don't know what you've gone through but you have made it this far and will keep on going. I admire you for that and don't know how strong I will be when the time comes but I know I will miss him every day. I am so empathetic and feel for you so much that I'm tearful right now just typing this. Maybe I am just being selfish and thinking of MY life in that situation and I apologize for that but I really feel your pain my friend.
Hang in there sweetie!

Sandi, thanks for the reminder, sometimes I do.

Okay, a new day here, let's start it right! What's everyone up to today?

It's only 6:20AM right now, I'm going to drink my coffee, put on my scrubs and go to the mall to walk. I really hate to exercise so this is good for me, I am pretty lazy in general and never really 'want' to go but once I'm there I feel good and all the regulars wave to me and it makes me happy. I can't wait until winter though so I can walk around the neighborhood a couple of times a week instead. Right now it's still 100 degrees, but I bet in a few weeks if I get up early enough I can do it. Mike would rather me go to the mall for saftey purposes! He thinks a wild dog might attack me or something. Or that I'll trip since I'm pretty clumsy, and pop a hip or something. See 2 years ago I had both hips replaced. I thought only really OLD people did that but it was necessary and I had lived with the pain for over 10 years which was okay but the idea that someday I may end up in Dialysis from my medication, was not.
Anyway he is super protective after that, sometimes treats me like a child and afraid I'll do something stupid and believe me I won't, as I don't want to go through that again.

Okay drink, drink, drink, walk, walk, walk...and away I go!

I dont blame your husband, be careful!
Today was the first day of school for Jace , he is in 11th grade. I picked him up so he didnt have to lug all the books home, he gets 2 sets as he has back problems.
came home and cleaned and now I sit drinking my ever filling glass of water

I SWEAR I have posted my reply twice and neither are here, I guess I spaced it out and didn't press the correct button or something!
So walk was good, also went today but around the neighborhood since it wasn't too hot yet.
I am looking at all my recipe sites for homemade sausage and have basic ingreds. but am going to tweak it to make it my own and zero carbs. I have a big pork roast, a grinder and all the spices so 'away I go!' No one seems to do much cooking the old fashioned way anymore so the recipes are so hard to find. I would rather just buy the stuff too but if I do it myself I know what's in it and no hidden carbs or nitrates or whatever.

Have a lovely day all!

I thought it was time to show the "real" Cinderella! Yep, that's her, to the left, my kitty! All the names that made sense for ME were taken so Cindy is my muse!
I usually switch my avatar often, so watch out!

So what's everyone been up to? What did you all eat today? Good day?
Hope so!
Later Gators!

Probably at least 10 maybe older, not sure, she was a stray that hung around the neighborhood and different neighbors would feed her and then move away and leave her then some other neighbors would do the same. We always had dogs and didn't want another pet but she is the sweetest thing and has never hissed or scratched or anything. We fed her for a couple of yearstoo after the last time she was abandoned and the tom cats would beat her up and she would get injured, we'd take her to the vet and feel so badly that we finally brought her inside. Now we never even allow her to go out, we're afraid she may get hurt and she is totally happy, she is more like a dog than a cat. She comes when you call her, waits at the door for her 'daddy' to come home from work, etc.

Boy I eat so much more than that! No wonder I have not been losing but that's why I like this diet...no limits on no carb foods. Maybe I should cut back but if I feel deprived I may want to quit so maybe slowly is better than not doing it at all?

Hey yall! How is your week going? Any better Sandi? Still walking Cinderella? Welcome Phat!
I am trying to eat my beef jerky slowly and to drink enough water, got up late and left lunch at home, so its h2o and jerky. School is a bit better. I have been pretty strict with induction since Tuesday--won't weigh till Tomorrow or Saturday, so i don't know how THAT will be. Sandi got me onto FITDAY which is a free website to track food and nutrition. I did really good till school started, then the extra time to sit and log everything just vanished. I am afraid that this week i would find i have had trouble breaking 900 calories--and I know better because under 1200-1400 I don't lose a pound. Oddly enough I can go up to about 1600 and still lose weight as long as its only protein and locarb veggies. I have just been too busy and or too tired or too hurting to eat. I don't know if I trained myself to ignore hunger signals when i was anorexic runner or whether its mixed up with the fibromyalgia= my nervous system tends to interpret any input as PAIN. Lol. I am "treating myself" by sitting down for a sec to say hi during my working lunch. Gonna drink 2 bottles before the kids come back. The jerky really reminds me how much water I need. Only now i need more, lol
take care! keep locarbing and keep your spirits up.

Wednesday: fiber cracker w 1 tb cream cheese
lunch water gallons of coffee, 2 oz cheddar and 4 celery ribs
snack while shopping: 1 Sams Club hotdog without the bun or mustard, 1/2 glass iced tea
supper:beef stew made with no veggies, just cooked the meat will add veggies tonight for the rest of the family. 1 fiber cracker
I have to get organized again and get lunches packed the night before. I was so tired last Saturday that I just slept all day, Sun'Mon I had to cook for family from out of town. I tried to get them to put money in pot-- whoever did best on induction would win it. Thank goodness they chickened out-- two are male and lose weight by saying the word diet, and two are younger, the older ones havent dieted in a long time so they would have gotten the bonus pounds you lose when u first start. I would have had a hard time getting off my plateau to win!
This weekend i will try really hard to do chores

I was wondering where you were!
Try to eat whenever, think of it as nurishing your body and if you don't have food to burn your body may burn precious muscle tissue or something.
What part of NM are you located? Any change in the weather or are you still as hot as AZ?

Oonagh,

Yuur post reminds me that I need to drink water. I can't really remember the last day I drank any and I know that is bad...really bad.

I am hooked on "Waist Watchers" diet soda made with Splenda. I probably drink about 4-5 cans a day. I am going to try to drink some water by making green tea my liquid of choice next week. Now that it is getting to be chilly here in Philly I'm hoping I can do the hot tea instead of soda.

Ha ha! Nope! But I will tomorrow with the Hubs! So my twin, you can call me 'Phat In Phoenix"!
I drink water constantly eating this way, my mouth gets so dry, I constantly have a bottle of water, soda, or something. We often times add an individual serving packet of sugarfree powdered drink mix to the water if you're aren't a big water fan or just for a change. Pretty cheap at Walmart, their generic brand is good, especially the 'cranberry-apple' and 'sunrise orange' (reminds me of tang).
I am not a huge fan of green tea though I try to drink it at times, something about the film it leaves on my teeth or something. Whatever you gulp down, cheers to you!
