Cindi, In case you check in before you go, have a wonderful trip. Don't worry, there are a million and one ways to eat fish in San Diego that aren't fried. If you want to go touristy and fairly expensive, but good, Anthony's Star of the Sea grotto at the embarcadero is always good, they have one that is on a sailing ship too, lol. If you are walking around and want to pig out a bit on fried fish, the fish n chips at their casual/take out place on the wharf are great. Just skip the chips, lol.
Have fun!!

Up late; am supposed to be finishing homework but reading posts instead...

Need to broaden my snack horizons. Anybody got any ideas besides: boiled eggs, deviled eggs, pork rinds, nuts, cream cheese snacks, or jerky? (I don't like SF jello or pudding)

Thanks!

Just saw Cinderella's minute muffin recipe. Don't keep flax meal in the house but may need to get some to make this.

Hi girls! "i'm baaaaaack"
Yes we had a great time and did really well with the food except I had some tomatoes and some avacado and too much lettuce probably but what a good way to cheat I must say. Breakfast is easy, ham and cheese omelette, eggs, sausage, bacon, no toast or potatoes. easy peasy!
I had a Cobb Salad for dinner twice and lots of wonderful grilled fish. We discovered this beach front Mexican restaurant in Imperial beach and it was so great. I had a seafood salad. a HUGE bowl of lettuce with tons of the freshest shrimp, crab and octopus in it! I ate every piece. I felt like I was cheating with all the lettuce but not one chip passed my lips!
In Newport Beach we went to our favorite place, "The Crab Cooker" and had scewers of shrimp, fish and scallops. Yes I had 3 glasses of wine there and we drank every night - like 3 at most of vodka and club soda, kinda yucky but zero carbs and had it tasted delicous I would have drank way too much!
So I didn't lose anything but I think I held my own and hells bells, it was vacation. So we came home to a broken air conditioner and are waiting for the repairman now. Every time something goes wrong it's almost $1,000.00 and it makes me mad. Can't live without it and they have you over a barrel!

Well I hope you are all well, and I will yak at ya later!

I swear my hubby wanted to stop in Vegas last night (not even on the way home) and the sole purpose was to try out the Bellagio buffet. Very fancy, the best food in Vegas, but I really couldn't justify spending that kind of money and only eating meat and fish. Well it would be Kobe beef, lobster and crab but still the temptation would be too much to handle...I could see myself taking that small taste of cheesecake or Tiarmi Su or something and the rest is history...one bite of bad would lead me to many bites of Terrible! whew! glad I dodged that bullet

this is depressing! I feel that I have not lost a thing and it's almost been a month! Not sure what to do. Perhaps I will do Stillman's diet for a week or two which is no carbs and zero fat. On that one you can actually have cottage cheese and farmers cheese but nothing with fat. not sure what to do, maybe just try to eat less. I hate to exercise but I did walk at the mall for about 45 minutes this morning which is tolerable to me. maybe I will try to do it daily and eat less. What's up with the rest of you? Sorry I started out whining so much, but I had to cry to someone! Just slap me and I will try to snap out of it.

Nancy
what diet were you doing>? Atkins?
Try doing the induction again and getting into ketois.
Things are so so here, been really down
log of negatives things here
money, and what to do next and my oldest moved to Nebraska, which I really dont think for him is the right thing to do, but nevertheless it still hurts and
I had a thyroid scan because it is enlarged and almost painful
and i have cysts and nodules in it.
WOnt find the answers till Monday maybe
Normaly I would have eaten a ton of food.
I bought ice cream, had a few spoon fuls and threw the rest away

dOING aTKINS And induction and almost a month and nothing! I love you guys but I think I have to join weight watchers again. I swear that is the only thing that has ever worked for me. I hate it because it's just a bunch of old ladies *****ing about **** and they really don't have a clue about proper dieting but it has worked for me in the past and I think having to weigh in and pay for the muth*fu**er is motivation for me. I had joined it about 6 times and the 7th time I went in at 188 and lost 50 pounds. it's like all of the suddent the weight was falling off, those old ladies at the scale would yell at me that I was losing too much! SAY WHAT?!
i HAve been so good and not cheated once on low carb but I must eat too much meat because I love it so if I remove it from the equation and eat veggies, fruit and (dare I say) Boca burgers instead, maybe something will happen. at this point I am desparate. I feel I need to switch it up, but if I do we can all still be friends okay? I will even give you my email if ya want to ***** about our fat butts! lol!
i DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! Maybe the cabbage soup diet for 2 days and then WW or something. Low carb worked for me 30 years ago and really hasn't too much since but I keep trying. I am probably toof**king old for it to work anymore.
Sorry girls for the venting and the swearing and the negative way, I will try to chill and be a better person. I am so pissed right now that I can't help it.
