| Hello All, I think I want to try this. I've had a gastric bypass but still struggle with the weight. I need something more to get the rest of the weight off. I would like to try Atkins but In the past I've leaned heavily toward a vegetarian diet. Can I do this without eating all the meat? I eat a LOT of carbs...even on my salads, I add lots of croutone, immitation bacon bits, anything crunchy (nuts & seeds). I need some help. I want that energy you speak of. Thanks |

| If you're going to go low carb, you will have to forgo the croutons for sure, but the good news is that you don't have to eat a TON of protein. I have found that for me to lose weight, I can't eat any more than about 100 grams of protein, which equals 3 eggs, some cream in my coffee, a little cheese, and 2 5-ounce servings of meat. You may want to look at the Zone - it is perhaps the most protein-light of the low carb plans. Hope this helps! | I have found that by cutting out the carbs (and, thus, sugar) I have plenty of energy. The carbs and sugar are what makes me sluggish. April 352 / 203.5 / 180 www.geocities.com/aprilreinhardt |
