Well, here it is at the end of my 5th week and another pound is gone as well as 4 inches from the waist and 2 from the hips. I am more pleased as each week goes.

I am still struggling with getting in enough water. I can make 4- 16 oz. bottles and one day 5, but 4 is just about my limit. I do exercise on the treadmill twice a day for about 10 minures each time. I have to space it out as I am a COPD, asthma, emphysema patient. I just keep plugging along.

This is the best board and hope it all returns

Good work, Darlene!

Keep working at that water and try to get it up a bit on a regular basis.

You're doing great!

Darlene, at the beginning I had to drink the flavored water to get over 64 oz. I can now drink regular bottled water all day long. I also added a little lemon juice and Splenda to my water. I think when you get a pattern going it will become a habit. Now I rarely drink flavored water.

Good luck!

Hi Darlene,

Here's the method I use to be sure I get all my water in... it's sort of like "out with the bad, in with the good"... everytime I urinate, I *immediately* drink at least 8oz of water, 12-16 is even better. This becomes a self perpetuating cycle! I start the day with a very large glass (24-32 oz)of water which I use to take my supplements. I drink all of it to prime the pump, as it were<G>. Yeah... I go to the bathroom more often, but that just means I have more opportunities to get more water. While this may not be the way to go (punny!) for everyone, it definitely works for me!

Drink up!

Thanks for all of the encouragement you people give. That is what helps all of us. I sure do miss the other board.

Anyway, I have made it to five bottles of water a day and 11 minutes each time on the tread mill.

Hope your hubby's are as encouraging as mine is.(FUNNY) He bought the treadmill for himself due to blockages in his legs and I have used it a lot more than he ever thought of. Sure glad he got it. It has helped me with losing th inches I have.
quote:
Never give up for tomorrow is another day.
