Hi all.

I've read and have been doing CAD's Lifespan Program, but after seeing so much info about other diets I'm not sure if it's the right one for me. I'm currently reading "The Secret to Low Carb Success" by Laura Richard and Dr. Pescatore's Thin for Good sounds interesting.

Has anyone here tried this diet? Any opinions? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi -

I can't comment on Thin for Good but Laura's book is VERY helpful. Her summaries of all the different low carb plans and section about stalling were very helpful.

If you're not sure about CAD, why not try one of the other plans for 2 weeks and see how it goes? You can always try them all and then go back to the one that suits your lifestyle best.

Cris,

FWIW, I was on Atkins, and really didn't have any big loss. I LOVE the woe but felt I needed a little more structure. I bought a copy of Protein Power, read it from cover to cover, and I am now following this plan. I noticed you do not have a great deal to lose, so it may go a little slower for you regardless of which plan you end up on. Just my $.02
Good Luck with whatever you decide!

Shelley

I thought about trying other programs too but was afraid that it would confuse my body and not know the true results of each "woe". Whats your thoughts on this Marcie?

BTW this is prinzess_fay :-)
noticed it didn't come up when I posted.

Crismet, there was a member on the old board who did very well with Dr. Pescatore's plan, which I believe she started after trying other plans. She wanted a very structured plan which didn't leave her guessing about any options, followed it exactly, and prepared all her meals according out of the book. If that sounds good to you, it will probably be a good plan for you to follow.
