Hey, here's what I did...
Breakfast every day was an omelette with cheese and sometimes a little ham thrown in. One day I was tired of eggs and had ham with cheese rolled up in the middle.
Lunch was usually leftovers from the night before: salmon with a salad; celery sticks with a burger with mustard.
Snack: Well, I ate some (and I do mean only about 5 or 6) pork rinds. I was never quite sure if they were allowed during induction, but I did them.
Dinner: 1 cup broccoli with chicken, beef or whatever meat we had around.
One day, I had no salad fixings, so I just had extra veggies. Someone on the forum said I should not do that on induction. Others said it was okay.
I drink about 100 ounces of water -- starting as soon as I get up, because I weigh about 200.
And if I don't start drinking first thing, well, I'm in trouble.
I had some leg cramps and started taking the multi-vitamin and a calcium pill. Tomorrow, I start exercising.
You can do it friend!

I'm restarting today as well. Unfortunately my body does not like low carb eating (I get a sore liver) which is a shame because it works so well and is easy after first week. However I thought I'd try induction and then move to a less strict low carb diet. I am so desperate!!!

I WOULD LIKE TO START INDUCTION "AGAIN" TODAY. I DO NOT HAVE THE COURAGE OR RIGHT MIND SET TO GET IN GEAR. I FEEL MISERABLE AND KNOW THAT THIS WORKS, I JUST CAN'T GET STARTED. I TOO AM ON ANTI-DEPRESSENTS-ZOLOFT. DR SAYS THEY DO NOT CAUSE WEIGHT GAIN-WRONG! I AM LOOKING FOR SUPPORT TO GET STARTED AND KEEP ON TRACK. CANT EVEN PHATHOM THE THOUGHT OF EGGS. I HAVE SO MUCH MORE ENERGY, AND FEEL SO MUCH BETTER, JUST CAN'T GET ON TRACK.
ANGELA

I started low carbs in early July. I have stuck to it so far. I am on Predisone because of Lupus. I feel better since I started the low carb diet. I stay focused because I am tired of hurting because I am so overweight. I not only have Lupus, I also have arthritis in both knees and frybromyalgia, all three cause great pain in my muscle and joints. I stay in prayer of my problem with food and ask God for strength to stay on the diet. Hopefully we can encourage each other.

Lyn,

When I started induction (and before that) I had little gall bladder twinges (I am assuming) which worried me a bit. But after induction the twinges COMPLETELY stopped. I did some reading on the gall bladder. When we do nasty, garbagy eating, our gall bladders just sit there and don't squirt out the bile it has stored up. This in turn causes stones to form. The consumption of the fat causes the g-bladder to start moving again which results in these twinges. I have had some small marble-sized BM's, which makes me think I have passed some little stones. My twingies have pretty much disappeared. If you stay on this WOL (way of living) for an extended period of time, I bet donuts to dollars your achy liver will get better. You might want to confirm this with your doctor though and rule out any thing else that might be going on with one of THE MOST IMPORTANT organ of the body.

Yet another reason I LOVE this WOL!!!!!
