I blew it. I was doing well, and strayed - about a week ago. I've noticed that I don';t have as much energy, I've gained back 3+ pounds, I'm having more GI upset, and I'm generally not as upbeat as I was on Atkins. I'm going to restart I think. Any thoughts from anyone about "re-induction"? thanks- jake.

Jake, The same thing happened to me. I went astray and gained 10 lbs. I re-started yesterday. I am pumped up now. You mentioned in your e-mail that you felt more energetic why would you opt to feel otherwise. Go with your gut instinct (excuse the pun). I know I am not one to give advice but know that you are not alone. May the force be with you. Christina Christina

Go for it Jake, don't beat yourself up for falling off the plan, just start where you left off (er.. with induction again). Think of it as a learning event instead of a defeat... NOW you know, you have seen and felt the difference that only a short time of the "wrong" eating can do to you! I tried and tried to do this years ago, and I would get to thinking "It wasn't FAIR" that my hubby and kids could eat whatever they wanted and be thin as blades of grass, and seem as healthy. Well, I finally decided that everyone is different and the word fair doesn't fit here. The way my body reacts to food, if I want a happy healthy life, I need to do this way of eating for the long haul Best of luck, now get back at it and don't let a small lesson set yo back any longer

Yeah, just start over. No biggie. I've started over plenty of times. You can do this. It gets easier with time. Trust me. April 352 / 205 / 180 5'10", large frame, size 13 shoe www.geocities.com/aprilreinhardt

Jake I too, have strayed, a couple of times. Once was on vacation, and last week my sister came to visit and I was bad again. However, I weighed myself today and have almost lost the 4 pounds I put on last week. I don't think it's essential for you to go back onto Induction for two weeks, personally I cut back my carbs for a few days until my weight is back on track. Everyone is different, you'll soon find out how things work for you. Good luck! Oh, and April, I am reassured by what you say!! Clare

Rob I think starting back at induction is fine if you think you've strayed taht far from the plan. This plan is your's to do as you think suits you best. If it's a mistake then it's also a learning experience. Rob
