Thread: Stalling with my monthly cycle??

    Hi, I'm in my second week of Induction. The craving had nearly stopped until yesterday. Now, I'm almost like a starved animal when around carbs/sweets. I'm pretty sure it is connected with the impending arriving of my TOM. Is that normal? Also, my loss is slowing and I'm wondering if that can be connected with the TOM as well. Anyone else have experience with this?

    The answers are Yes and Yes!
    Although I don't crave during TOM... I have a hard time the week before! So I just up my protien intake more to help ward off the craveings.. if that don't work then I find a LC sweet treat. (not the LC bars either) Now some ppl on these boards will say nothing sweet during induction...but IMHO it is truly YMMV type of thing.

    As for weight loss slowing down.. well that is normal no matter what! BUT... TOM will mask weight loss with water weight gain. A lot of ppl will show a weight gain during TOM.. again.. that would be me! SO my recommendation is to NOT weigh yourself until your TOM is over! Other wise you will just get discouraged over nothing. :-)

    Many thanks Prinzess. I suspected I would "hear" many of the things your wrote in the responses. I'll avoid my scale for a while!!

    Excellent idea!

    Skip the scale for a week or so. No need to bang your head against the wall.

    Drink lots of water and rely on sf jello with a little heavy whipping cream to get you through the cravings.

    I avoid the scale the week before my TOM, because it IS very discouraging -- especially if you have been very good. It's like our bodies are secretly trying to sabotage us!
