its day three of induction and I woke this morning with carbs jumping out at me. I was cutting my ds's waffles this morning and I got some of the syrup on my finger....Tell'en ya, it almost went in my mouth. I opened the fridge this morn, and all I could see was that juice, and ohhhh those chocolate chips in the door....oh hey there is another kinda juice over there...and I am not really a juice person. Yummy, waffles....I didn't sneak off ds's plate. I got on the scale, I think I am down two pouds. but I am not sure since i was only guessing at my starting weight. I can't believe this is only day 3. I don't guess it is ok for me to have a caffeine free diet coke?? I NEEEED carbination. ok, i'm done complaining.

    {{{hugs}}} Nat!

    Yep.
You just summed up day 3 of induction for most of us. But you left out the blazing headache and the biting sarcasm.

    Ok, STAY STRONG.
If you can just make it a couple more days... you *SHOULD* start experiencing a serious drop in your hunger/cravings. That juice will still look good, but you won't really want it.

I would shy away from the CF Diet Coke because for *many* of us, Nutrasweet (Aspartame) tends to make us hungrier and causes our cravings to get worse. It can also cause some people to stall. I do have one occasionally (when I'm not pregnant), but I really try to avoid them.
Do they sell Diet Rite or Diet RC in your area?
    Try to find it.
It is not only caffeine-free and sugar-free, it is sweetened with Splenda and doesn't seem to stir up the cravings as much.

    Hang in there, hon.
    You are doing fine.
Maybe fix your kids scrambled eggs tomorrow???

    One more thing...

Since you don't know your official *start weight*, go ahead and measure NOW.
Keep a journal of your measurements.
You will be SO glad you did if and when the scale stops moving...

This is what I measure every 2-3 weeks:
    >bust/chest
    >Upper arm
    >natural waist
    >abdomen (part that sticks out the most -- your gut)
    >hips/butt
    >upper thigh
    >lower thigh
    >calf
Some people measure thier wrists and ankles, too, especially if you don't have much to lose.

Important note: ALWAYS measure the same side of your body. For example, if you take your initial measurements using your right arm and right leg, ALWAYS measure your right arm and right leg.
    HTH,

Yes, you can have the diet rite on induction. I planned to go on Atkins on a certain date and made sure that the house was darn near empty in the grocery department so I had to restock everything.. and well, I restocked with almost entirely LC foods! There are very few carbs hiding in my house ever since I started this WOE. The few carb laden items, I have my own version, so if they do tempt me, I can endulge in my own.
