Hi All,

I'm a newbie and I am dying to know... what does everyone eat for breakfast? My office provides a buffet although mostly carb loaded.. no eggs either ( oh man, green tea just aint like coffee and sugar... just had to throw that in. any suggestions on what I can sit at my desk eating? lunch is so much easier to grab salad with chicken or veggies and chicken / tuna. i had egg salad from the the deli this morning but i'm feeling loads of guily about the fat and calories. can't be doing that every morning :O)

You are allowed to have egg salad on this way of eating. If the mayo is real mayo, not light or miracle whip, you are fine. Just not in a sandwich. I am new too, I had an omlette with cheese and som green onion and 2 pork sausages but could only eat one, I was full! I am on my first day of induction since I cheated yesterday, so I was advised to start over. Don't feel guilty about the fat and calories!!! That is what is awesome about this woe. Good luck, we can do it!!

Well Im new too; but sometimes Ill have a couple of eggs and a turkey burger or Ill make eggs and bacon---it's easy just to bring it with me....Oh also I love coffee especially Starbucks---if you buy sugar free vanilla flavoring (torni is the brand in my area that I can get in stores) with heavy whipping cream and use decaf coffee it gives me the taste of Starbucks---it's really good---also if Im craving something sweet (normally at night) Ill have a cup of decaf with the vanilla plus it helps me fall asleep---

As far as if you dont have time to make your breakfast sometimes Ill got to McDonalds and buy the Big Breakfast----and I order an extra sausage patty---so Ill give the hashbrown/biscuit away to someone else at work!

Some good breakfast choices are eggs prepared any way, some bacon or sausage to go with it, quiche or omelets, hot cereal such as flax-o-meal, or keto hot cereal, a 'mock' danish (made with eggs, cream cheese, splenda, and some flavoring then nuked to perfection!) To me it tastes more like my old home-made french toast which I haven't had in ages lol. After induction, you can have the occaisional piece of toast with your eggs (using LC bread), or french toast (LC bread & SF syrup) The shakes are okay, but many people are sensitive to the bars.

Yes you can do this! This is the easiest way to lose weight that I've ever found.

Yes you can have the egg salad if using regular mayo. I actually bring that to work most mornings and don't feel one ounce of guilt. Also ditto on the McDonalds, except you can actually order the eggs w/cheese on the side and either bacon or sausage on the side. Cheaper than ordering the breakfast and giving away the extra food.
Also there used to be a receipe for "Mock Danish" that is really good. I will see if I printed it off and post it if I can find it.
