ok this was a bit naughty but I went to visit friends in london and we ended up in Starbucks, although still doing induction I thought I'd be a bit cheeky ( know strawberries aren't allowed til OWL )and have a strawberries and cream, which they said was strawberries, cream and ice. I asked the girl whether it had any sugar in it and she said no, but when I drank it I wasn't convinced, but I don't know whether the sickliness of it was from vanilla essence or any sugar?? Does anyone have any ideas as I would like to be able to go out and have these occasionally.

Thanks for that, I have emailed them, maybe it's a summer special or a franchise thing.

Strawberries aren't normally that sweet. If it tasted significantly sweet, it probably had sugar in it.

No sugar? Yeah, right!

That girl didn't know what she was talking about. They use special dry mixes that contain not only sugar but starch for thickening.

I couldn't find the berry one BUT a vanilla grande frapp is 66 CARBS!!!!

I would say the berry one would be similar in carbs.

Wow! I wonder when they added this bit of information at Starbucks.com. When I went on Atkins a couple of years back they didn't have this on the website, and I ended up CALLING them. The poor guy on the phone! Must of thought I was crazy. I wanted to cry when I found out my triple venti chocolate frap. had so many carbs in it! I still do *sniff* But I bought a couple of SF syrups and am starting to experiment. I had a wonderful drink tonight with B-52, Chocolate, whipping cream and club soda. It was very yummy. But still not a chocolate brownie frap. lol

Dr.Atkins states in his book: "The louder the voice of the controlled carbohydrates revolution, the better it will be for all of us. It is our voice that will get low carb products into restaurants, supermarkets, coffee shops. I have already e-mailed Starbucks requesting some low carb beverages on their menu. Let's all do the same! Maybe they'll come out with some low carb frapuccinos!
