I have just started the diet also. I posted not much earlier that you did. I have not tried the diet at all and have not read the whole book, I but I really want to try this diet. If I am not being to nosey, why did you stop the diet before? I am just curious because I thought that if I knw what other people struggled with I can better prepare myself for bumps in the road.

Thank you. That is nice to know that if I lose weight at a slow pace I am not alone. Plus they say If you didn't gain the weight in a day, you can't expect to lose it all in a day. They also say that the slower you lose the weight, the more likely it is to stay off.

Hi! I just started this diet on Friday. It's bad but not that bad. I love sweets and the cravings have not left yet. I think once I get pass the first week it will get better. If I can do it, so can you. Hang in there.

Good luck to all of you on "starting over" again. Hey...I've started over plenty of times in the five plus years I've been doing this. What helped me the most is that I don't view this as a "diet". It truly is a way of life, and if you look at it from that perspective, you know there's no race to be won and no timeframe to beat. Sure, there's goals and mini-goals, but I've found that "starting over" each day when I wake up is a good attitude to adopt.

Anywho...that's my two cents. Keep posting. If you get stuck, give us a typical days' menu and we'll tell you what we think. We're all here to help each other.

I HAVE BEEN OFF AND ON FOR ABOUT A YEAR. I DID VERY WELL THE FIRST TIME BUT WHEN I ATE SOMETHING I SHOULDNT HAVE, I COMPLETELY LOST CONTROL, THEN THE ADDICTION WAS BACK AND I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO STICK WITH IT. I DID USE TO VISIT THIS SITE ALOT WHICH HELPED VERY MUCH. HAVING A HARD TIME DRINKING WATER AND JUST KEEPING IN CONTROL. ALL REPLIES WELCOMED. THANKS,
ANGELA

hi all, i too am re-starting .ive been off for about a year and a half . my first time i went from 210 to 157.during this time i got a much needed divorce, started back to work, moved and met an amazing man to which im now engaged. all the changes in my life led to laziness on my part and i gained back to 183. i started induction on 8/25 and have lost 9 pounds. i look forward to leaning on the board for support (as i did the first time), and hopefully being helpfull to others as well.

Bubblicious, kudos to you for taking responsibility for your own health! Don't be depressed over what the scale says today - think how happy you'll be when it's down 5, 10, 15, whatever pounds. And thanks for taking the CAPS lock off; it makes your messages so much easier and more pleasant to read.

You WILL succeed! You deserve it, and you owe it to yourself. Stay the course.

Welcome!

I only lost 3lbs during the induction phase as well. (started 8/19) It was really discouraging. But I took myself off induction and have dropped another 4. Please try not to weigh yourself everyday. I really don't want to admit it but this was my biggest mistake. I was hopeful until I got on the scale. I weighed myself yesterday, just because I started a new journal. It would be good for you to have one of these too! Write down EVERYTHING! (food you eat, feelings exercises, new recipies to try etc) This helps a lot! I lost 40lbs on Atkins the first time. But I too, thought of it as a diet. I now think of it as a way of eating and am really excited. There are tons of recipies you can try. And all the yummy foods to eat

Good luck to you! And post if you have any troubles or successes!
