I started induction on Sept 4th. The scale says I lost 1 pound, which I can't complain about but I would like to know if I am going about this right. So I will list some menus in hopes you guys can help
Water: 100oz a day minimum
Diet Pepsi: I am weaning myself off so it is MAYBE a can a day.

Breakfast: 2 sausage and 2 eggs either scrambled or in an omelet with 1 oz cheese

Lunch: usually just a few ham (luncheon meat, I know it is bad-but no sugar added) rollups with no more than 2 oz cheese.

Snack: celery stalk or cucumbers

Supper: Some kind of meat, usually pork chop, steak or ground beef with a big serving of veggies or a salad.

I work really late so if I haven't gone over my carb intake, I usually have a few more roll ups. I know I should stay away from the processed stuff but we just got groceries so I have more to choose from! Thanks for your help everyone!

Where are your veggies?

You say you have a "big" serving of veggies OR a salad at dinner. Have both. Have some veggies with lunch, too.

The 20 carbs you're allotted per day should be spread throughout the day - it combats feeling tired and run down, and helps to keep you going.

The rest of your meals look fine, though, and your water intake looks good.

More green stuff. Green is your friend!

Plus, if you end up not losing more, you might want to cut out some of the cheese. I believe this was one of my no-no's...(i love cheese!) But with you only being on induction for a couple of days it is too early to tell. You might not want to weigh yourself everyday, either. Just a suggestion.

Thank you shrinkydink and helpwhenIcan for your input.

Shrinkydink: I know I need to eat more veggies but my favorites are broccoli and cauliflower which you are only allowed so much of. So I have been eating big salads and using cucumbers and celery as a snack when I need one. It actually does work out to the "three cups" a day. But I will try to add more. Thanks

HelpwhenIcan: oh no, I will not get in to that habit of weighing myself all the time. I did twice, once to see what my start weight really was and the next morning. And I will beware of the cheese, thank you!
