Well, here I am at the end of my 6 weeks and still stuck with only a 4-5 lb. loss. I am doing everything to the tee, including 5-16 oz. water( all I can go). No more inches lost, JUST PLAIN OLD STUCK. I guess I should be happy that I have not gained any.

Would it be wise to go back to INDUCTION for 3 or 4 days to maybe get that nudge I need? or am I just being impatient?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps this has already been addressed elsewhere on this forum, but can you tell us what you're eating so that we can let you know what we think about tweaking your menu?

Thanks.

Darlene:

I looked at several entries to your fitday journal. What stands out first and foremost to me is:

half-n-half - use heavy whipping cream instead
carrots - high glycemic; don't eat them
tomatoes - high glycemic; don't eat them
Atkins products - ditch them for now
pork - makes me retain water and, thus, weight. Eat pork sparingly. I only eat it about twice a month.
potatoes - don't eat them, in whatever form, not now, not ever; high glycemic
same goes for the rice
breakfast bar - um...no. Not quite sure what that is, but I would say no (unless it's home made with low carb stuff)
Processed cheese - just eat aged cheeses
Go Lightly candy - ix-nay the candy and sugar free stuff
melon and fruit - high glycemic. Take it easy.
Endulge mint candy bar - nope

I'm not telling you to do without these things permanently. You said you were stalled and I think that doing without those foods will make you start losing again.

You want to acheive a state of ketosis and, in my humble opinion, you cannot do so by eating those foods. Read the thread "Possible Help for Newbies" in the newbies section.

Just my two cents...

I agree wholeheartedly with April! And don't eat those mixed veggies with corn either. Corn isn't a veggie, it's a grain.
