I need help here.. I'm allergic to mushrooms, green peppers and all fish. Due to surgeries many moons ago, I can't eat certain foods such as celery and aspargus. I've been in induction for 5 days now and I'm starving because I'm not getting alot of veggies (most of the ones I can eat I can't stand) and I'm getting bored with beef, chicken and eggs. Any ideas how to survive this? I'm getting ready to root in the garbage to find my pasta!

Here's some more foods you can eat in abundance. Are you allergic to any of these foods?

Beef
Chicken
Eggs
Aged cheese
Pork
Turkey
Lamb
Duck
Cream cheese
Bacon
Goose
Cottage cheese
Veal
Cornish Hen
Ham
Quail
Venison
Pheasant
Alfalfa Sprouts
Arugula
Bok Choy
Boston Lettuce
Chicory
Chives
Cucumber
Endive
Escarole
Fennel
Jicama
Mache
Morels
Mushrooms
Olives
Parsley
Peppers
Radiccio
Radishes
Romaine
Sorrel
Artichoke
Avocado
Bamboo Shoots
Bean Sprouts
Beet Greens
Broccoli
Brussel Sprouts
Cabbage
Cauliflower
Celery Root
Chard
Collard Creens
Eggplant
Kale
Kohlrabi
Leeks
Okra
Pumpkin
Rhubarb
Sauerkraut
Scallions
Snow Pea Pods
Spagheti Squash
Spinach
String or Wax Beans
Summer Squash
Turnips
Water Chestnuts
Zucchini

If there's only a few of those that you can stand, eat a lot of them. That's what I do. I know it gets boring and I hate the "no variety", but that's MY choice. It's also a small trade off for losing the weight. I have found in the 5+ years of doing this that eating is really not a big deal any longer. I just eat when I'm hungry and I don't make a production of it. I just eat until I'm full and it doesn't really matter about the variety any longer.

That's just my two cents. YMMV Good luck to you and let us know how you're doing.

well its not easy to give up on the foods that made us the way we are, like pasta and breads but on the flip side getting away from those foods for two weeks will be a stepping stone and a great reward towards better health and you will feel so much better I urge you to stick with it sky how about broccoli with cheese with your meat of choice or salad with ranch dressing or cabbage cooked with a piece of seasoning meat like ham hocks yummy if you continue your appitite will deminish oh make some deviled eggs hope you stick with it!!!

Stop thinking about what you 'cant' eat and start thinking about all the things you CAN eat. When you're hungry, EAT! This is not a starvation diet plan.
