Too bad I didn't know this while I was on induction. I tend to always find out things too late...lol, but I am enjoying them now! I use to HATE pork rinds. After I got past the smell tho, (after induction)

I just bought some yesterday. They are really good. It's the thought of what I'm eating that turns my stomach.

Have a BIG glass of water handy. They make you very thirsty.

There's nothing really "in" them - you're eating deep fried pork fat.

What you should check for is sugar, if you buy the BBQ, or other flavored ones.

So, even if the front of the bag says 0 carbohydrates, there still may be sugar ?

I had NEVER eaten these before starting Atkins... and actually learned about them here! I didn't really like them at first, but I think it may have been the brand I tried.... I got some "Jays" BBQ flavor and really like those... and they ARE 0 carbs....

Here in SO Cal. you are lucky enuf to get Pork Rinds at local mini markets FRESH. I love them topped with shred cheese and a bit of salsa. then you microwave it for 1 minute or so and its delicious. Better then tortilla chips to me!

DH and I love these things, always have. The hot 'n spicy variety are EXCELLENT to scoop up guacamole!

Also ground up they make a great breading for stuff like "fried" chicken strips - eggplant - wherever you want a nice crunchy coating.

I use them in my meatloaf too to help bind it.

I keep 3 flavors on hand, plain, BBQ, and hot 'n spicy!
