Hi Nicole... according to fitday, a T of fresh lemon juice is 1.75 carbs... are you squeezing lemon juice into the water or just putting a slice or two of lemon in?

Either way, the Atkins people are really adament about staying completely faithful to the list of "can-eats" and "cannot eats"... during Induction especially. I don't know if anyone will be able to tell you definitively whether or not these lemons will cause a stall.

I see you have already lost two pounds (Congrats!) - if you don't lose as fast or what you think you should be - eliminate the lemon and do strict (by the book) Induction.

Good luck and welcome!

Hugs,
Rachel

Hi Nicole,
Here is a link to Atkins site to answer your lemon juice ? http://atkins.com/Archive/2001/12/15-464579.html
Scroll to the bottom, is says to limit to two to three TBSP per day.

HTH

Nicole

I can really relate to you here. When I began Induction, I put a thin half slice of lemon into a glass of water and kept it there every time I refilled the glass. I could still taste lemon, even after many toppings up. Yes, lemon juice has carbs, but this way they were negligible and meant I was getting more water in. I didn't need to do this for very long, I got into the water habit quite quickly, as you will, if you persevere.

I got the idea from something I read on these boards, so I know others have done it and lost weight. I lost 13lbs on Induction (having 80+ to lose overall).

Good luck
Clare
