I am in and out of the office all day and most of the time I am unable to bring my lunch. What are the best and most economic ways to eat a low-carb lunch out?

Grilled Chicken Caeser Salads are your friend!

Or get a double cheese at Wendy's (just no ketchup!) and toss the bun.

Peel the breading off the KFC.

Red Lobster's Broiled Admiral's Platter (oh, you said "economical"

When stranded away from home at lunchtime and wanting to save money I grab a 2 ounce bag of sunflower kernels at a convenience store. Wendy's salad sensations are what I usually end up having if I'm eating out though.

I had a chicken caesar salad last night from a take out place and was actually scared to eat it in case there was sugar in it so I just ate the chicken on top. In most cases, is it alright to eat caesar from anywhere?

I like Boston Market for lunch sometimes too. Not too expensive and you can get a large piece of roasted chicken, green beans, steamed veggies (just pick out the carrots) and/or ceasar salad. You might check and see if their creamed spinach is ok - I don't know how they make it and haven't bothered with it since I'm not a big fan of cooked spinach. Tell them to hold the corn bread and you're all set.

(This assumes of course that you're ok with resisting the temptations of potatos, mac & cheese, and stuffing...)

If you are worried about any carbs in your salad dressing, ask for the dressing on the side. I dip my fork tines in the dressing and then spear the lettuce. I get a bit of the salad dressing taste, but very impact from the fat, calories or carbs in the dressing. Certainly, make sure you eat the salad too.

Wednys has a good chicken BLT salad.

If anyone wants to know the number of carbs in the food from many food food places, many of them have nutritional information on their websites. That's the best way to tell what you are eating.
