Hi Newbies like myself and veterans,

We all have those kinds of days like HopeD mentioned in another thread. (One where you are temppted by things in the office or workplace that are brought in by coworkers or for celebrations).

I have a plan for these kinds of days and also rewards planned for when I reach milestones I have set (I use ever 10lbs.) On the days when I am tempted and I have resisted the "bad" stuff at work. I reward myself with a "treat" something planned to be eaten after dinner when I am satisfied by all the food in my tummy already. For example after a "party" day at work where there were no low carb options (I usually try to make something that I can share with others that is low carb, from recipes on this site and others) I allow my self one sugar free chocolate. (I realize that not all of you can eat these.)

When I make a 10lb loss I reward my self with something bigger that is not food oriented, like this time I got my nails done.

What ways do you reward yourself with or without food?

Heidi

I've worked really hard at NOT choosing food as a reward - that's part of what got me into a problem to start with! So I try not to eat unless I'm hungry, no matter WHAT is tempting me! I don't always win that battle, but if I do give in it's always something carb-friendly.

As for milestone rewards, I always seem to choose jewelry. Nothing like a new pair of earrings or a ring to remind me how far I've come!

I didn't do this, but a lot of folks like to buy a charm bracelet and then add a charm for each milestone reward. Cute idea!

I did that with the Zoppini Italian Charm bracelets.. I've added a charm for every 10lbs - I'm *thisclose* to adding another (2lbs). Can't decide on which one, though. :/
