Ketostix - What color tells your burning fat ??

"Low Carb Newbies" at Low Carb Diet Support: "I bought some ketostix and I read the directions, however it dosen't tell what color means i'm burning fat.. Please help !! Nicole...."

Hi Nicole.

There should be a chart of colour indicators on the back of the Ketostix bottle that shows if you are in ketosis or not. If you are in ketosis, you are burning fat.

It's my understanding that ANY color besides beige shows the presence of ketones in your urine. Whether it is darker or lighter is more a product of how much liquid you consume rather than how far into ketosis you are - I read a great book recently which explained it pretty well. So any time I see ANY color change on my stix I know I'm still producing ketones. HTH!

I think you can get them at any drug store!
Like Walgreens,Costo or if you have Target maybe there!
