Don't panic until you take the fiber count out of that. And as far as impacting weight loss, salad greens are so low, many people count them as free.

If you haven't posted a couple of complete menus (with your carb assumptions) then please do so we can look at them.

Hi Mikey
I have posted my menu which most say is good (I goota cut out cream I think) I checked the pack and NO DIETRY FIBRE is listed..only 3.3g of sugar for 100g. I'm not sure of what types of lettuce is in the mix, but the herb is coriander and continential parsley. It doesn't list the types of lettuce in the ingredients either.....

I agree with Mikey. Salad greens are almost never a problem.

However, does it contain carrots? Look thrugh the list. If it's all green veggies, that's fine. If it has carrots, switch to another salad mix. I doubt a few carrots would sabotage you that much but it's possible. They have more carbs than is acceptable in the early phases of the diet.

I don't think you should even bother to count the carbs in green leafy vegetables.

If you list what you're eating, maybe we can throw in some ideas.

Shel -

Are you drinking 128 oz of water a day? (About 4 litres)

Are you eating low carb protein bars?

Are you eating low carb chocolates?

Are you eating TOO FEW calories?

Are you eating TOO LITTLE fat?

Many questions must be answered before you quit.

When I first started, I didn't believe you could eat so much fat and lose weight - no I know better. At the beginning, you CAN. I did. And I was even going overboard. I was putting butter on everything I could just to see if it was really true - fat didn't matter, only carbs did.

Well, for the first 50 pounds, that was true. I didn't count a thing except for carbs and lost just fine. Now, as I near goal, I'm having to watch out for calories too but that's only because I've lost 60ish pounds and only have about 40 to go.

Go for it!

Maybe my hidden carbs are in my veggies too!!! I am wondering if Kraft Sundried tomato and oregano dressing is ok to have? On induction, after induction or never? Thanks

PS I am at work and there are no nutritional values

Sundried tomato has about 20 net carbs per cup. I'd avoid all dried fruits until well into OWL, and then be careful, as the carbs are concentrated in the drying process

Steph, Walden farms has a Sun dried tomato Italian dressing. Their dressings have 0 carbs per 2 tbsp. serving. I think they taste delicious too.

I hope you can find them.

Folks, let's be clear:

The LAST THING you should be blaming when looking for hidden or extra carbs is VEGETABLES, especially those on the "legal" list.

Your real cuplrits are grains, sugar, sugar alcohols, dairy, fruit, and high-carb veggies.
