Okay, the first time I did LCE, I lost 6 pounds during the first two weeks of induction and I was MUCH more strict about my eating.

This time it's been 5 days and I'm down 5 pounds. I always thought that the second time you try to lose weight this way it's slower.

I know I still have another 9 days of induction and the weight loss may stop after today for all I know until next week or whenever. And then I'm sure it will be like before, where I lost a pound or two a week at the most.

But I was shocked to get on the scale this morning. My starting weight was 141 and today I was 136. My goal is 120.

WOW! Congratulations Hope, great success thus far.

Many things factor into your weight loss. From where you are in your cycle, to how much sugar and/or salt you were consuming before induction. Another one is water, drinking lots of water really, really promotes weight loss.

Keep up the good work and remember your veggies and water.

Congratulations I'm glad someone is having success. I'm so terribly jealous. This is day 5 for me and I haven't lost a pound. I've been so rigid in sticking to it. I've felt nauseous the last few days and so tired. If I drink any more water I'll float away. I was also 141 starting and I'm still 141 today. Yuk. I'm more than a tad disillusioned

Thinner try not to be upset.

I am in my second week and its been real hard for me. I lost 4lbs to find out that with my cycle I gained I have been fairly strict with maybe a few more veggies here and there. I also stalled myself eating lowcarb bar. I know now I cant have those for a long time. Fall is coming up and I truly need new clothes and its tough finding things in plus sizes that look nice. Also I have seen a few inches off my waist! I am seeing it that inches have come off more then lbs.

Its only your first week and I am sure if you are doing things by the book you will see results soon enough

Blessings,

Carol

Carol, don't feel too badly - when you have less to lose, the weight loss process is often slower. Losing those last 10 - 20 lbs can be quite challenging.

How much water are you drinking now? Maybe too much for your size? The rule of thumb is 1/2 oz. of water for each pound you weigh. So, at 140 lbs, 70 oz. is a good amount - unless you are losing a lot of water through perspiration, then, of course, you need more.

How about posting some menus? It's possible that someone can spot some "hidden" carbs or have suggestions to kick-start the weight loss.

Hi Teelbee!

Thanks for the encouragement. I am in need of loosing 70lbs. I just started 3 weeks ago. Here is a menue

BF..2-3 eggs with or without 2 strips of bacon(thats if we have it) Coffee, decaff, with stevia and 2T cream
Lunch...left over meat or meat roll up with mayo. Maybe 1.5cups of salad with oil/vinager dressing? depends on veg at hand. 1oz of cheese(depends on hunger level)
Dinner....1 large chicken breast seasoned and oven cooked. 1.5 cups of some kind of veg.
Snack..cheese, hard boiled egg, jello without asperteme, or a decaf coffe with coco powder added.
I drink about 8-10 glasses of water a day.
I am also an insomniac and when i wake in the night 3-5 times I will sometimes eat something also.

So by looking at this can you tell me what I am doing wrong? I have a plan on fit day but that doesnt take the fiber out.

Thanks for the help.

Blessings,

Carol

Carol, your menu looks pretty good so I wouldn't change anything for now - especially as you are losing inches. Well done!

If I had to choose, I'd much rather lose a dress size than lose 10 lbs!

I agree, it looks fine. You could possibly add more salad to it. Just hang in there and have patience, because what you're doing should work fine.
