Hi everyone. I have not been able to follow this low carb diet lately. My baby has been in Childrens Hospital and has been very sick. She has meningitis. We are home now but she is still sick. She goes to the doctor tomorrow and possibly if she has not improved back to the hospital. Anyway at the hospital I just ate what was brought to me. I just didn't care about the diet at the time. I was to upset to try and figure out what I could eat. I plan on starting over as soon as Savanna gets well. I have lost 4 pounds though probably because I really didn't eat much. I was one week into induction when she got sick so I will start from scratch again. I just wanted to let everyone know I haven't given up.

Life happens. You were flexible and went with it. You need to do what you need to, to be there for your baby.

Don't worry about what you eat right now. But, do think about increasing your protein intake. It will give you a ton of energy and you need that right now.

Praying for you and your baby!

Oh Tanya I am so sorry. I think I left you a message the other day asking how things were going. If not then I know that you were in my thoughts. With a little one myself I know how hard it is on you emotionaly and physically. I pray that your daughter is doing well.

As far as your low carb plan goes...Valerie said it well...think about increasing your protein to give you energy and stable your cravings if you have any. Try to just eat the veg and meat. My thoughts are with you. Please let us know when all is better. huggs!

Blessings,

Carol

I am very sorry to hear the news Tanya,
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help, since we are in the same town...I am a nurse that has not worked in 2 years due to a back injury so I am mostly home!
Hope all goes well for your baby! Childrens hosp is a good place!

As far as not being able to follow this WOE during this situation... well life can throw some real curve balls and there is nothing we can do about it. You just have to do what you have to do! This was out of your controle. Just don't feel stressed or guilty about not being able to eat right.

Huge hugzzzzz to you and your little girl!
Take care of BOTH of you!

Tanya, I am so sorry to hear about your little girl. I can totally understand not being able to stick with your WOL during this. I mean really...who wants to think about what is ok to eat and what is carb infested during a time like that. Hope your baby gets better soon, and don't forget get some rest and take care of yourself.
Lots of hugs!!
Nat

Thank you all for the support. I am hoping she starts feeling better soon. She doesn't want to drink anything right now and I worry about dehydration. I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers and the advice. It always helps to know there are people thinking about you. Junie you are right Children's is the best. I wouldn't take my kids anwhere else. They are wonderful people who care deeply about each and every child there. Thank you all very much.

{{{Big hugs}}} Tanya,

I'm sorry that your little girl has been so sick. It sounds like you have gotten the best of care for her, what a good Mom.

Go easy on yourself right now, you can jump back on the wagon when life is normal for you and your family once again.

Best wishes to you and your little princess!

Tanya, just wanted to add my thoughts and well wishes to everyones else. Go easy on yourself, there will be a time when things get back to normal and you can regulate your eating again.

With 5 children of my own, I know how worrisome and wonderful they can be.

Hi Tanya,

I'm saying prayers for you and your daughter. Myself, I have taken a jump backwards due to some emotional difficulties these last couple of weeks.
My best friend, has been trying for several years to get pregnant and finally made it. However, on the 9th she gave birth to a still born son,Benjamin. The depression and guilt I have been feeling has pushed my lce plan out the window. I feel really guilty because I'm the woman that can get pg from her husband winking at her.
Anyway, I know we both will make our way back to lce. I wish you and your baby girl the best. Thanks, for posting I was worried about jumping back on the boards after so long but, I know I will help with the depression. Thanks again, God Bless-

Tanya just started today & read about your troubles I hope & pray for you & your daughter that everything is better soon. I have a 37 year old daughter that has lupus, liver diesese, fiber mialga,& is now walking with a cane. My heart breaks to see her going down so fast. Your child no matter how old will always be your child. My faith in God has made it possible to go on. May you find the strength too.
