Hi Everyone

Just wondering about the ketosis strips, I've used them occasionally since I began, within the first week, I was in 'the pink'. When I do test them, sometimes I'm 'pink', other times, its much darker, and more lavendar or purple. Is there an actual level, or is it just simply if its pink or purple, you're in ketosis?

Hope you're all havin a great week!!!

Erin

Hi Erin, it's the general consensus that any shade on the stick indicating ketosis is fine.
Also when drinking lots of water the shade will be lighter, which is good!

It's possible that if your sticks are real dark (and you haven't just eaten, or just worked out), that you may not be getting enough water.

Other than that, any shade other than beige is "positive".

Then again, some people never register anything other than beige - just them in conjunction with other tools; not as a sole source of information.

I have to say the YMMV on the water/color issue. I've been drink upwards to a gallon of water a day and my strips are moderate everytime I test. I always test in the evening before retiring for the night.

Information gladly given, but safety requires no unnecessary conversation.

The amount of water you're drinking can change the color of the stick dramatically. As long as it's positive, you know you're in full ketosis.
