| I know I came around in June or July and swore that I was back on the wagon... then I ended up having some major problems in my personal life that required my attention (and subsequently derailed me from my LC plans). My birthday came and went with no appreciable weight loss, I justified cheat after cheat, or simply didn't care. And then today, I realized that the jeans I wanted to wear to work (baggy size 14 Eddie Bauer button-flys) were in the wash, and not clean. So I tried on my size 10 jeans, and I could not get them buttoned. And with autumn on the way, and with me being too damn stubborn to buy more jeans, I decided that was it - I needed to get back on track before things got really out of hand. So here I am, crawling back on the wagon. I actually entered my food into Fitday for the first time in a couple months. It felt good to stay on track, or at the very least, not eat anything I had not planned for. I have never not known what to do - I am just way too good at justifying the bad stuff. The good news is, I have been sticking to the exercise more or less this summer, so I'm not as bad off as I could be. But that's still no excuse for eating badly. I can't promise I will post every day. Between my job and events in my personal life, my online time is more limited than it was before. But I will do my level best to stay on track and shed this weight. All I can do is take it one day, one hour, one minute at a time. Thanks for listening. JRJ |

| Hey JRJ!! I sure do remember you and am really, really, glad you are back! I read your post in the Vets board and I know with first hand knowledge what a very stressful personal period can do to someone (DH and I went through 5 unsuccessful invitro fertilizations last year and have had to face the fact that we will be childless forever) and their food habits! It sounds like you have made some good decisions about what to stay away from and what to focus on. I am absolutely sure that given your current dedication that you will find results are much more rapid than you might expect. Someone wisely posted somewhere that once she faltered and cheated and fell off the wagon - it was only she herself who could make the decision to get healthy again. And that is true - we can't do this unless 'we' want to. And once you are back on the LC and have more energy and start to lose again - you will be so glad you made the decision you have. It is great to see your post and I'll look for more of them. Congratulations on getting through some rough waters and getting back to focussing on 'you'! You deserve it and we are here to support you, as you well know! Hugs, Rachel 165/138/128 Haec trutina errat. (Latin for,"There is something wrong with this scale".) |

| I LIKE YOU ALEADY! I like how you took ownership of your situation and started to do what you needed to. That is more inspiring then you know. What is just as important is that it is real life things that we have to deal with that can/will derail us; whether it is our WOE, how me manage our social/work life, or all the other things that happen along with how we see ourselves. You just keep your head up and as I always say... HANG IN THERE!!! Don http://home.insightbb.com/~athuddriver/index.html http://home.insightbb.com/~athuddriv...b/lowcarb.html |

| I really, really, really missed you!!! I was anticipating hearing from you again during this summer, and kept looking for your posts, to no avail. You've been such an inspiration to me! I'm SO glad you're back! I went on a 7-month "hiatus" and then one day, for no particular reason, things "clicked" and I'm back in the saddle again----full time. Sometimes things just happen. I hope you're doing okay and look forward to reading your posts. April 352 / 202 / 180 5'10", large frame, size 13 shoe www.geocities.com/aprilreinhardt |

| Hi all, thanks for welcoming me back to the fold Rachel - I guess sometimes straying from the right path is precisely what we need to do to see what the right path is. My belief that LC is the right path for me has once again been reinforced. Susan - Indeed, no one is counting, I think we all fall off from time to time. The important thing is that we come back. Brightlady - I missed all of you too. But when life threw me that nasty curveball this summer, I had to focus all of my attention and energy on my relationship with my husband to make it right again. And that's about as much detail as I can go into while still respecting my husband's right to privacy. But it is good to be back and to feel alright about focusing on my individual well-being again. Don - Nice to meet you, I don't think I remember you from before, but I thank you for the warm thoughts. If I can stick with this for a couple weeks, I'll get back in the groove again. April - Me, an inspiration to you?? YOU inspired ME when I first started this over a year and a half ago. Your story was part of what drove me. I told myself that if you could lose all that weight, then I could too. I guess, though, that we all inspire each other in different ways. I am also glad to see that you are back on track too, together we can do this Terese - Some days I still have to talk myself into exercising, but I always feel better after I've done my workout, like I accomplished something good. The one thing I need to start doing again is cardio - I have really slacked on that. It's a lot easier, for some reason, to talk myself into lifting weights. Emelia - Yep, I'm back, and with any luck I'll be here for a while, instead of disappearing again JRJ |

| Hey JR! Don't feel bad, I'm in the same boat! Remember I got down to a size 10 last December (and was working on that 8) and then went on vacation? Well, I gained 20 pounds while gone (which I had planned for) and then another 10 when I got back. Here I am, size 14 again. I can totally relate. I've also had a somewhat challenging year and have been trying to get back on plan enough to lose this weight again. You are in good company! | JR! Marcie! Hi guys! So happy to see you all again! It's confession time for me too...I "allowed" myself to "take a break" during the summer, which to me meant to still eat sensibly, yet not be so strict that I couldn't participate in cookouts, pool parties, etc. I don't regret that decision, but I do find myself (on the eve of the fall equinox), about 8-9 lbs. over my lowest weight, and READY to get back on track! I've been back at the gym pretty hardcore for the past 3 weeks, and the food choices have been more low carb than not, but I'm ready to get back on this wagon full force! We can do this!!! |

| Glad to see you back! You need to take care of your self mentally as well as physically too. Some times it is necessary to let one of them slip while working on the other. Summer for me was always hard. I am a bit backwards. I have no problems keeping on this WOL during the colder season and harder time in the summer! This actually the 1st time making it through a summer in 3 years! But, from what I see .. there seems to be a lot of ppl who have a hard time with summer which makes me feel a bit better that I am not as much of an odd ball as I thought!
