Hi all! I am new to Atkins and on my third day of induction. I am really enjoying it and can't believe I am going to lose weight. I have done weight watchers all my life and after having a baby 8 weeks ago weight watchers just isn't working for me this time around. I love not feeling hungry all the time. Is there anyone else who feels this way, or who is trying to lose weight after a baby through Atkins? I would love to hear from you as well as any tips anyone else has to offer?
Mandy

Let me be the first to step right up! I had a baby 6 months ago and I cannot believe the amount of energy I have right now.

I have a 2 year old and I remember being DEAD DOG TIRED when she was 6 months old. Don't get me wrong, some days I feel a little fatigued, but NOT NEARLY like I did 2 years ago.

It is nice not having hunger hanging over your head every day. It takes the edge off and you can make good food choices when you are not so hungry. (Watch looking at restaurant menus, though, the pictures are distracting and can get you off track!)

Pack a snack for yourself when you go someplace, just like you would pack food for your baby. Always have something acceptable available for when you need something in a pinch.

I am still at 60g/day of carbs due to nursing, but will be on induction level when I stop.

I had gestational diabetes with my second child, so I am doing this WOE to ward off Type 2 diabetes. So far, I LOVE IT!

Good luck to you and your little one! The energy alone is worth this WOE!

Hi!! I had my baby four months ago as well, little girl. Although I just started Akins about three weeks ago. I haven't had a huge weight loss, but have noticed energy is up, mood swings are down, less head aches, I don't have that fog during the day, my nails are nicer. I've met with some personal resistance...fear of failure. And have sabatoged myself a few times. (Get with it Natalie! ) Anywho welcome to the board, this is a really great place everyone is so helpful!!
