I am so mad at myself...but I learned a valuable lesson. Went camping this past weekend and the folks we went with brought just TONS of food. I actually did well for most of the trip. I had h.b. eggs, lc buns for the burgers and dogs, and a ton of water. The mountain pies and smores at night were my downfall. And let me tell you, they were ok, but certainly not worth this setback. I was dead tired when I got home and it was obvious to me I hadn't felt that bad since before Sept. 1st when I had started lc eating. How can people eat that nasty white bread on a daily basis?? Still trying to turn the ketostix even a little pink, since Sunday evening. rrgh

Be patient and you might want to cut your carbs back to induction level until you get back into ketosis. On the strips, mine rarely show above trace. Don't get hung up on the strips.

Don't be too hard on yourself. Move on! Sounds like you have the resolve to stay on this wonderful WOL, so I think you'll be just fine!

I agree with Susan - a few days of watching very closely what you eat and staying on Induction will help wonders. You'll be back in no time.

When I go on camping trips, I always bring my own foods including snacks and whatever sweet I might want. That way I know that I can fall back on good stuff instead of junk food of others.

    Hang in there!

    Never give up! Never surrender!

If you don't cheat, you'll get back into ketosis. Testing yourself with the sticks sometimes takes good timing. If you're drinking large amounts of water, you probably want to wait until some time that you haven't recently drunk a great deal. Water drinking tends to dilute the results. During the afternoon, I test negative, and at night, I'm dark purple again.
