I started induction on Aug.27th, thinking I weighed 163 pounds. My old K-Mart scale has been used and abused over the years. As the weeks passed I did see the scale drop and sometimes rise, but I did not become alarmed, until one day my b/f said..gee the scale says I lost 10 pounds. (He doesn't diet)... At which point my 17 year old son contributed, Oh yeah Mom, I meant to tell you our scale is off by 10 pounds!
That day we bought a beautiful silver top of the line NEW scale. My first weigh-in with the new scale was higher than my lowest weight on the old clinker. Therefore, I have swallowed my pride and determined my starting weight must have been 173 pounds and NOT 163 pounds.
I no longer abuse my scale, it is my friend now. As of this morning it read my weight as being 153 pounds!!...Yipeee... Either I've lost 10 or 20...it doesn't matter.... I have LOST using this plan.
I have 28 more pounds to go and I am very confident that I will do so!...
I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this site, I don't speak often, but I read all posts and benefit from each one. I appreciate all the advised given here.

My point is, I did not give up when the scale went up, partly due to the unknowingly support this message board gave to me.

Great going Bimb!

Don, it depends on what day it is, no, what time of day it is whether or not I like my scales .

I am also a self-confessed scale watcher. Are there any self help groups for us?
