| Hello My name is Robin and I am new to this forum. I have been doing the Atkins diet for a couple of months. It seems to be going well. I have noticed my hair seems to be thinning. I take Trader Joe's multi-vitamin, Omega 3 Fish oil, Calcuim, Potassium, magnesium. Has anyone else heard of this? Any suggestions? thanks! |

| I've experienced hair loss low-carbing before, a long time ago. This time I'm growing NEW HAIR. This blows my mind. I've never grown new hair in my life, except for maybe puberty. What's the difference? I think it's the amount of food I eat. I eat plenty of food this time. The previous time I was trying to crash and low-carb at the same time. My recommendation: eat a lot of vegetables and make sure you're not eating too few calories. Too rapid weight loss might be contributing to the hair loss. I've also heard people suggest before that it might be too little protein, although that wasn't my experience when it happened to me.
