Hi everyone...I just registered yesterday. This is my third day of LowCarbing. So far, it hasn't been too bad. However, I am experiencing slight headaches and am always cold. I increased my water intake yesterday to almost 3 liters but the headaches still remained. I read Dr. Atkins book almost 3 years ago, however, I can not find it in Europe and was wondering if it is okay to take any headache medicine...such as advil or excedrine? I know there are a few starch fillers in these pills which probably means that it is not safe for induction. Anyway, I'll let you know how my progress goes. I'm studying abroad in Europe right now so I do not think I'm going to invest in a scale but I do have a smaller pair of pants that I hope to measure my success with. Ideally, I want to lose around 20 lbs. (right now I'm a size 9/10 and I'm hoping to get down to a 5/6). I have tried Atkins before and was successful. However, with college and high school graduation I quit low carbing and now I've gained almost 15-20 lbs in about 3 years!! I knew deep down that this was the only way to lose the weight safely, but it has just taken till now for me to finally stop fighting and start LowCarbing again cause I know it is a lifestyle change and not just a diet. So far, I've only had one really bad sweet craving but I just drank water and it eventually went away. I also love to exercise and workout 6 days a week for about 1 hr. I read all the information on exercise featured and it says that I should cut back on cardio but I actually really like exercising. This site has been a tremendous help for me already. It provides all the right type of support and inspiration during those weak moments.
