| I really dont like eating breakfast. I get up around 7am and Im at work for 8am. By the time I start my delivery route its 10-11am. My morning flies by. If I really need to eat breakfast what is the lighest or easiest thing to eat. ? is breakfast that important? |

| Absolutely, breakfast is necessary. The word "break fast" means just that. You'll jump start your metabolism, give your brain fuel for the morning, nourish your entire body. Not to mention, your tummy will love you for it. If you are post-induction you can have more of a variety. Let us know! Take care Susan LCE Member since 01/02 341/283.5/185 |

| This time last year I could have been you writing. I NEVER thought that I would have time in my life for breakfast. Now, after 10 mos on Atkins, I can't imagine going without breakfast. It fuels my life, really! I eat a BIG breakfast. I had to make time in the morning. It meant getting up earlier. I did that first and ate bkfst. Now, I'm getting up even earlier so I can exercise for an hour and then have breakfast. Remember that this is a way of life, not just a diet. Good luck! Peg 1/1/03 205/180/165 5'8" |

|
quote:
what is the lighest or easiest thing to eat. ? is breakfast that important?

One solution for you might be to make up an "on the go" breakfast pack the night before. It could have already peeled hard-boiled eggs, sliced ham and cheese roll-ups, celery stuffed with peanut butter or cream cheese. Another option is to make up some egg salad, tuna salad, or a mock danish and put it in a cup (I save the little plastic yogurt cups to use this way). Of course, there are the pre-made shakes, which are totally fast and easy, albeit expensive. Aside... I feel it's better to get nutrition from real foods; but when that's just not an option, the ready made shakes at least give your body some calories and nutrients to work with. I try to be careful with them, though, as sometimes I think they set me up for food cravings. There coulld be some trigger food in the shakes that awakens my cravings; or it could just be because my body wants real food. ~~~Teelbee 174 (Mar. 2002, highest weight), 164 (Jan. 2003, begin LC) 174/134/137-134 remember, amateurs built the Ark, professionals built the Titanic |

| My favorite on-the-go breakfast food. Stockpile some deviled eggs--reach in the fridge, and you're on your way. If you can handle a hit of aspartame once in a while, vanilla protein powder mixed in your favorite flavor soft drink (I like Fresca) is a quickie breakfast, too. ) Barb L.
